Part of the conditions for them accepting the contract cancellation was I needed to send the phone back within the first 14 days. No option to end the contract and buy the phone.
I tried to call them today I was on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes, then the phone cut out. I cant face being on the phone for another hour today or it just cutting out again.
I would not have gone with o2, it was my daughter who said she wanted to have the option to upgrade after 6 or 12 months.
You live you learn I guess, just dont want this to be a very expensive 3 days thats all!0 -

You're allowed to do what's necessary to make sure that what you've received from us is what you thought you were buying, and that it all works as you expected. But no more than that.
She used it to check the coverage at her home and at her school, its not working as we expected it to do as there is no coverage. Ive checked the coverage checker on o2 it says there are some areas of signal and some areas where there is no signal, so its not working as expected. Its taken 2 days to do this as she needed to go to school.
The phrase used it more than needed and we will deduct an amount to cover damage is something Im not really sure about, if there is no damage then where do we go? Im happy to pay for services used no problem!
Im Im reading this correctly its more about returning an item which they have classed as being damaged from use or indeed misuse. to see if its working correctly.
Did you check the 02 coverage in their area?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
*it says there are some areas of signal and some areas where there is no signal, so its not working as expected.*
The coverage checker usually gives a grade, showing you that there are good/bad indoor and outdoor signals.
Does this mean that it says one location is fine, but the other would have no coverage?Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
The other question is whether you are talking about 4G or 5G ? Or no signal at all?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Is it possible to keep the phone (and continue paying for it) but transferring the number to a provider that has good service in her area?0

However Ive just checked the coverage checker which states
Good outdoors. Patchy indoors. Not good for mobile broadband.
I went to this specific area and there was no signal at all.
Id be interested to know how one would test this, would they expect you to buy a sim only and test for a month prior to buying a phone.
The information on the website dosent say this, it says if you change your mind you can return during the 14 day period (this would also be true of sim only I accept) but you are asked if you want to port your number in, which you could do but then you cant port from o2 sim only to o2 contract, unless Im mistaken.
How long would an acceptable timescale be? one day? They should really specify this on the website if so rather than quoting the 14 day rule.
Im genuinely interested as I want to use this in my discussions with o2, if I can ever get through to them.0 -

I’d be getting her to ask her friends what their reception is like on other networks, before you go through the hassle of sending back then finding out other networks are the same.Use WiFi calling in the house. As for school - it may be suck it up if the building is constructed as such it acts like a Faraday cadge.1

If you can, I would go into your nearest O2 store and ask their advice. It may be that the person on the phone misunderstood either what you were asking, or the rules about returning.
