The current app has a new login screen. Not sure when this happened but noticed yesterday. After you login everything is still the same however. It must be close?

HSBC have now published a page so it looks like the app is being deployed very soon if not already.

My daughter and I have just received new app. The previous version was so clear and simple to use I don’t know why they’d complicate it. I can’t seem to find the ‘days to cycle reset date’ anymore which I used to find a really useful budgeting tool.

I’ve updated the HSBC UK Mobile Banking iOS app today to version 3.57.0, which states the new features are gradually rolling out over the next few months.

Having opened the app, after the update, everything is still as it was before so the new features are waiting in the wings for HSBC to activate at some point, I guess.

The preview screenshots, in the Apple App Store, show what the new update should look like eventually:

620MB for a banking app, though. I’ll need a new iPhone with larger storage at this rate!

I updated too on the iPhone, same result it’s updated but looks the same, the animation and loading seems a bit more smooth.

Just updated on Android and looks like the above.
I have a CC and it's a great improvement, more info displayed more clearly.

    - I wondered how they managed to switch people over to the new version without downloading a new app - I got it today but I didn't install a new version - so I thought maybe they have both versions included in the app, maybe why it's so big, then they push the switch for specific people to put them on the new display. If that makes any sense!

I suspect that includes both the old and new versions of the app - so the size will reduce once they finish the rollout

    That makes sense, @deinoflex, thanks.

Some of the other iOS banking apps I have installed are Santander which is the largest by far at 714MB, Halifax at 495MB, for example. Quick calculation says about 4GB taken up by my various banking apps!
Skipton uses the least storage at just under 50MB.
