While we're on the subject of sign up offers and different accounts does anyone know if the offers are for new users or new accounts? I currently have a cash ISA but if i was to open a S&S ISA, would I be eligible for one of the "free share" offers that are often available? Just wondering.
The terms are available for you to read...

I have been in email correspondence with a variety of Trading212 customer service people about this. I tried opening an account having heard of the bonus from the MSE weekly email. Using the instant bank transfer method to fund the account failed many times, so I had to set up a bank transfer. This failed too because of a mismatch between my own name and the name on the joint account. I found out - after digging around in the FAQs - that to use the instant transfer you had to be logged in via the app, not the online website linked from MSE. So I downloaded the app to my iPad and made an instant transfer from there. When the money appeared in my account I saw the rate was 4.9%, so I asked about the bonus. The answer was that because I hadn’t used a promo code or affiliate link I was not eligible, but I could enter the promo code via the account menu within 10 days of opening to get the bonus rate. The next adviser said the code was contained within the MSE ad. I have searched MSE for the code, sent screen shots of the relevant pages and asked them to point it out to me. I will try entering MSE as the code, but am not optimistic.

The promo code MSE worked! Go to your account page, open the menu (three dots), scroll down to the ‘promo code’ option and enter MSE.

I had a failed attempt to open an account with T212 in November, but the ID process bounced me a couple of times and I gave up. I tried again today and got through... But only got 4.90%.

They say I cant have the bonus rate as I was already registered. Stingey.

Does anyone know lose the bonus rate if your Cash ISA transfer in takes longer to complete than 10 days (which I expect it will)? Or does initiating the process within 10 day period lock in the rate?

I think the base rate has gone up, and the bonus is still at 0.15%

Bonus is now 0.2%, as confirmed here:

Wednesday's email was a 0.15% bonus but the article has been updated since to say 0.2%

I was going to ask the same thing, but couldn't you just put a few quid in if you haven't maxed out your ISA, then initiate a transfer?

Why is the promo rate only available to new customers? Is that "treating customers fairly" per the FCA?
