Just go to the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum , by coupon mad,  click or tap on it

Scroll down to the second post,  read through it, you will see a paragraph about halfway down with links, the wording is in one of the links

Look for the following and click on the links

The CNBC will send you a DQ N180 form, that must be completed & returned to the claimant's solicitor and the court, explained here.

Yes, there are some new Qs in the N180 form; please DON'T post asking about how to answer them (and don't ask how to answer the Welsh question):

As above the 2nd link is the one that tells you why.

So I have submitted my N180. I received a call ( I let it go to voicemail). Voicemail (automated) says it's from DCB legal. Not sure if it's connected to this case, but a quick look at "who called me" suggests it may be them trying to settle with me!

so, I have my mediation appointment on Tuesday. I'm assuming I just tell them I'm not willing to settle at this point and that I'm prepared to go to court?

No need to assume. This is already in the Template Defence first 12 steps.

Or offer a tenner (which has worked).

Mediation call turned into 4 calls as the mediator was calling the claimant (DCB) and me alternately. You are all correct in as much as how much of a waste of time it is. I offered the token £10 which was rejected.

So now, hopefully it's discontinued but I will continue to follow the advice. Just wanted to say thank you to Coupon-mad and Gr1pr for the help and advice thus far. Everything you said would happen, happened!!

    Its not discontinued,  definitely not

It will continue down the small claims track in the usual manner,  so to your local civil court that you nominated in your N180, for further processing.  That court will write to both parties in due course,  once the case is transferred there from the CNBC in Northampton

You know from Umkomaas thread when discontinuance happens. Over 500 worked cases are linked there to read & learn from.
