also, I was wondering if there is a middle ground between do nothing and acas? Could you, with a few colleagues, formally highlight this as an issue re consultation, imposed change of contract thereby keeping it internal for now.

Thank you. A number of us, who are affected by the changes, in our branch (all but one person), have all formally voiced our concerns and disagreement to the proposal, directly to our line managers who have taken note and passed our feedback to our regional manager who has simply not responded whatso ever to any of us. Everything they have done hasn't been done in the correct manner and to procedure, this is why i feel i may have a good case if it were to go to tribunal. We have had no "full and meaningful two way consultation" as ACAS say must take place for example. There are numerous failures on their behave to conduct it professionally and fairly, so i am leaning towards taking the case to tribunal as it stands. I know i will more than likely need to find another job anyway, whether i just accept the changes or i try and fight my case. I am going to be calling Citizens Advice tomorrow to see how strong of a case i have if i did take it to a tribunal and go from there.

They offer free employment law and best practice advice. They cannot tell you how strong your case might be or if it is worth taking it to a tribunal. They can only advise on what the law says and not take sides.

Today i spoke with Citizens Advice who gave me details of a solicitor to talk to regarding my current employment case. And Basically, because i have been employed for slightly less than 2 years (2 months less) i would only be able to claim for breach of contract and not unfair dismissal which means the amount of compensation i would be able to claim for would make it not worth going to tribunal for as you can only claim for loss of earnings. Although he did say there are legalities in the case that they havent followed procedures etc but it still isn't worthwhile going to tribunal. He did say if i had been there 2 years+ and had another job i could go to, should my employers get rid of me during the process of going to tribunal. then it would be more worthwhile, but living alone, with no other job to go to and less than 2 years service it is simple not worth it.

Which means i will be keeping a keen eye on the job market every day to try and find a better paid job or one with more hours than i will now be on for greater earning potential. I may also have to pause my daily deposits into my investment pie when my mortgage renewal starts until i find another job or extra income,
