I am finally caught up reading everyone's summer updates and makes!
Ive been quiet and busy on all fronts, as as of tomorrow, I am 30 weeks pregnant! Had a rough start for a few months as I have HG (what princess Kate had-my one Royal connection in life). But after a stay in hospital when it got to the point I couldnt even keep a sip of water in Im now on a mix of medication and speeding towards my January due date!
Not much crafting was done over this time but im feeling able to be productive now. So maybe ill turn my hand to some baby things. All though we are still stuck in a caravan so no nursery yet. Fingers crossed for spring 🤞4 -
My Chimera tote bag made using my next door neighbour’s canvas trousers for the body, white padded pillowcase cover for the lining, my old jeans for the handles and the pocket on the front was made with some left over poly cotton fabric and a wee piece of denim I embroidered with a Wannabe Shark 😹

Hello again! I’ve been away from the board for a while so I’ve just had a scroll through and enjoyed all your lovely makes 😀
Here’s a couple of mine that I finished recently using pure British wool from West Yorkshire Spinners. Not the cheapest but very warm!

@BridgetTheCat I love proper wool, it's so cosy! But also fairly cool in summer- I like to snuggle into a nest anytime of the year, and my wool blanket is great for when it's 30 C out but I still need to snuggle 😂
I have been busy enjoying the last of the summer, but now the weather has turned I'm back in the craft room. My sewing machine is in for repair, if it can be- it's an antique now (!) so parts might not be available. I've been trying to clear my desk of all the odds and ends of cards I've got to make, and was doing reasonably well until my mum came at the weekend and we die cut lots of stuff from some of her dies she'd brought up to share, and now my desk is covered in piles and stuff again.
I have, however, made 33 cards over the last fortnight. I told my husband and then we laughed and laughed about how little a dent it had made in the stash in the craft room 🤣🤦♀️
I did have to buy some more card- craft card and red. They had been all used up, and as much as I'm trying to use different colours, pink Christmas cards are a bit niche and don't really suit the more traditional card toppers i've got to use up.

Hello everyone,
Just popped in to say that I enjoy seeing all of your makes. @CraftyRach, I also make cards and enjoy getting inspiration from your cards. @BridgetTheCat, I also crochet. I have been crocheting for 2.5 years. My friend and Mum taught me. I am still learning new stitches.I have just finished a blanket for my BIL.
I recently crocheted my first pair of socks:
