Hi all, loving seeing the cards for exchange this year. I’m glad I opted to skip this year as I don’t think I could have done you justice.
@Coxy11 sorry to hear about your experiences with WI. I’m sure you don’t need it. Not much of a joiner myself so can’t comment.
Renovations wise, as we approach second Christmas in new home, we’ve achieved more this year than we ever thought. Panic ensued when one of my sisters changed her mind and also opted to come down with a friend as well as my mum! Meant that in November we had to decorate the third bedroom and the landing! Now all done bar the stairs which will have to remain a fetching shade of orange pine and the wonderful grey old carpet until the new year. I can’t face painting another thing.
Crafting I’m splitting my time between knitting a blanket with my step-granddaughter and the four seasons cross stitch. I was enjoying the knitting, first circular needles and making good progress on a row or two a day then just as I joined the last ball of wool I realised I’d kitted ti together 🤦🏼‍♀️ so I’ve had a break before I unravel it.
    Photos of both below.

Daisy, your card will be just as amazing, we all appreciate the hard work that goes into them. I'm going to pull out all my old cards and take a group photo.

Charly, how annoying about joining the blanket together, i can't knit but it sounds like something i would do.

Morning. @daisy_1571 thanks for posting. I’ve loved everything I’ve received and wish I’d taken part now! I’ll take a photo of mine received in Christmas past when I put up the decorations. Blanket unpicked (only 2 rows but 500 stitches per row) so ready to get knitting again! GD is only 7 and she knitted the orange and the first multi-coloured wool. Then I took over. All her design-autumn and winter. I love the multi-coloured blue/green and inspired to pick up knitting and crochet again in the new year. Anybody watching ‘House of Wool’?

Here is my collection. I love that they are all so different. Thank you to everyone who has sent them over the years. It’s a lovely community we have here ❤️

I haven’t watched GoW - not sure how it would work with knitting as SB is stressful enough! Annoying about the unravelling @Charly27 but at least it was only 2 rows!!

We too have been painting - just white in lounge, hallway, stairwell, landing and kitchen - to freshen the place up. Two of 3 bedrooms now done and main bathroom tarted up. Still need to do our bedroom and en-suite but that will be a chunk of money so late Spring we think. Have also ordered a new front door and garage doors - both falling apart and not fit for purpose!!

    Keep the photos coming!!
