We have no way of knowing what deal ebay negotiated with RM, the prices, weights and compensation don't match like for like.rollingmoon said:soolin said:I think the term free to sell is not technically misleading , except for the fact that business sellers do pay. Having to reduce item price is not a direct cost. Yes it is free for private sellers to sell, but they may need to take a look at their pricing if they want sales , which is something quite different.
Aren't eBay gouging on the cost of postage now via Simple Delivery? That's a direct cost to the seller surely.
Interestingly on Vinted RM is usually the most expensive option to choose as well, which suggests RM ar enot generous when providing these contracts to third parties.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. For me the price is the same as ordering direct from Royal Mail so not sure why you think that is the case?rollingmoon said:soolin said:I think the term free to sell is not technically misleading , except for the fact that business sellers do pay. It's been said that if you turn off evri royal mail prices increase and vice versa. That seems to suggest ebay is adding to the cost for some services..2dareis2do said:
