It always applied to all buyers , the regulations you referred to earlier were nothing to do with the buyer feee and only to do with sellers being correctly registered, and the VAT situation that has been in force for several years.2dareis2do said:
It looks like there has been a change as it says the new regulations come into force on the 11 February 2025. Not sure.I’m not sure I follow your reasoning at all. The requirement to comply with business regulations has always been in place in recent years. Also there is nothing there that suggests non UK buyers don’t pay the fee ?Yes the buyer fee applies to all buyers buying from UK sellers, including UK buyers if I understand the changes correctlyI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Well thats me done with EBay. I sold a vintage lens for 10.50 i got paid the money 8 days later due to Evri being busy and then buyer not being in when delivery was attempted.0

Does it not apply to clothes? I've had the fee added to a window washer and a portable printer but not to any clothes. Surely they don't include postage charges in the fee too?0

It is till more money, even if you had to wait for it, than donating to a charity shop. However, if you choose to leave then I wish you well.lesgee said:Well thats me done with EBay. As per the previous posts- this seems to be a slow roll out with some categories 'going' quicker than others - clothes has already been mentioned as one category where the change hasn't hit yet - and there's no way of knowing when that will change.freccles said:Does it not apply to clothes? Are you that desperate for the money from an eBay sale that you can’t wait 8 days? If yes, how does selling on eBay work when it could take days/weeks/months for something to even sell?lesgee said:Well thats me done with EBay. So regarding private seller accounts. Can private sellers combine shipping? The buyer hasn’t paid yet and waiting for a combined invoice. I offered it because I thought it would be possible. My business seller account can offer it, so why can’t I do it on my private seller account?0

It doesn't look like private selelrs can do a combined invoice any more- lots of people posting on forums saying they can't even send an invoice any more - let alone a combined one. It looks like a lot of the extra options are being taken away from private accounts.danny69 said:So regarding private seller accounts. Can private sellers combine shipping? Personally I was hoping that if ebay were going to follow the Vinted model, which they appear to be doing, then buyers would have a chance to somehow buy a bundle, click confirm and pay in one go, and have a reduction in the postage and buyer premium.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the response. Well I’ve got a buyer who’s bought 3 items from me and I can’t sent a combined invoice. I won’t be giving them a refund on postage costs because I won’t get 3 separate tracking numbers. I will have to send 3 separate parcels out at the buyers’ expense, otherwise ebay will hold my funds to ransom for a couple of weekssoolin said:
