As long as you don’t take too long you can add the same tracking to all 3 sales, I do it quite a bit as I tend to find stuff to sell in batches, so it is obvious a buyer is likely to want more than one thing from a collection.danny69 said:
Thanks for the response. Well I’ve got a buyer who’s bought 3 items from me and I can’t sent a combined invoice. I won’t be giving them a refund on postage costs because I won’t get 3 separate tracking numbers. I will have to send 3 separate parcels out at the buyers’ expense, otherwise ebay will hold my funds to ransom for a couple of weekssoolin said:
It doesn't look like private selelrs can do a combined invoice any more- lots of people posting on forums saying they can't even send an invoice any more - let alone a combined one. It looks like a lot of the extra options are being taken away from private accounts.danny69 said:So regarding private seller accounts. Can private sellers combine shipping? The buyer hasn’t paid yet and waiting for a combined invoice. I offered it because I thought it would be possible. My business seller account can offer it, so why can’t I do it on my private seller account?
Personally I was hoping that if ebay were going to follow the Vinted model, which they appear to be doing, then buyers would have a chance to somehow buy a bundle, click confirm and pay in one go, and have a reduction in the postage and buyer premium.I sent 2 things to the same buyer on Friday, printed the label for one on eBay, copied the delivery confirmation immediately to the other item. Sent a message to buyer explaining what I’d done and refunded a small bit of both payments.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What's the value of each item? Low value items ebay release the funds after positive feedback if there's no delivery confirmation.danny69 said:

How time critical is it? I would copy and paste to each item after dispatch. The buyer has suggested this could be done, but I wasn’t entirely suresoolin said:

Within half hour or so, I once forgot to do it and tried adding the tracking to a second item about 5 hours after originally printing the label and after sending it, and the system rejected it as ‘already in use’danny69 said:

That is fair enough I suppose. I would do it straight away once I get the tracking information. I actually have 2 customers like this and it is extremely frustrating. I can understand them wanting to maximise their profits but they are just making the process harder for the sake of it.soolin said:

ebay boast on their latest TV ad that selling on ebay is free.
As someone who sells on ebay, I can vouch that this claim is at best misleading. There is also no mention of the newly introduced buyer protection fee that is set at 75p + 2% depending on the category etc.. This is likely to affect the price that a buyer pays for an item. In practice the means that the buyer fee is ultimately paid for by the seller.
While their TV advert boast about there being no seller fee, they neglect to mention the introduction of a buyer protection fee.
With this in mind I have made a complaint to the ASA and would encourage any else one who feels that this advert is misleading to do the same.0 -
I think the term free to sell is not technically misleading , except for the fact that business sellers do pay. Having to reduce item price is not a direct cost. Yes it is free for private sellers to sell, but they may need to take a look at their pricing if they want sales , which is something quite different.2dareis2do said:ebay boast on their latest TV ad that selling on ebay is free.

This is the advert here
https://www.tvadsongs.uk/ebay-uk-advert-see-things-differently/It does not mention business fees either as far as I can tell.0 -
Looking at the advert they seem to fit the profile of private sellers ebay would want. They are looking to get rid of junk and would be happy to raise some cash.2dareis2do said:This is the advert here

However if you list an item for auction and someone bids £10 and eBay deducts £1 from the winning bid it is hard to see that it is 'free to sell'. If the buyer was charged a transaction fee on top of their bid it might be more arguable imo.1
