Please also support/sign this petition demanding the re-launch of a Government-backed Parking Code of Practice. 🙏

Thanks for signing @Le_Kirk. Yes I realise it's a long way to go but open 6mths until 6 June 2025.

I'm sure you're well aware it's no easy task encouraging motorists to see beyond their pcn. The petition is not on it's own in requesting Govt action. We have a group of 11 MPs letter to HCLG Minister/chair of Select committee and of course the Govt Steering group Coupon-mad sits on.

@Gr1pr I haven’t received any debt collection letters just the final reminder. Although over 14 days have elapsed since receiving it (6 weeks). Should I appeal still using the template on the newbie thread?

    Too late to appeal just tried on UKPC website and this message came up after typing my reference number;

This Parking Charge Notice is currently not eligible for appeal, due to the following reason:

Unfortunately we are unable to accept this Appeal as the Parking Charge Reference number has now been referred to our Debt Recovery Team.

    Jolly good.

    Only steps to take:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.

    - Come back if & when you get a LBC as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

There is no risk in defending a claim.  And how to do that, and exactly what happens when, is fully covered already in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

Just received another email from CBRE , (note I sent my complaint to the CBRe manager for the particular retail car park and also to CBRE complaint, so I sent 2 separate emails)

the email sent today is as follows:

    Good afternoon,

The helpdesk has been in contact with the facilities manager in regards to the parking ticket issue that you emailed in. The facilities manager advised the PCN was issued correctly as controls are required for retail car parks for many reasons and please refer to the BPA for further guidance. However a request has been put through to cancel this PCN and UKPC should be in touch soon.

    Kind regards,

The key difference between this email message I received and the last is where is says “a request has been put through to cancel this PCN” . So maybe it will be cancelled but who knows, let’s just wait and see.

    Sounds good.

If it happens I would reply again to the first guy and tell him to stop supporting rogue ex-clampers over customers and treating the wrong person as if they are the rogue.  Retail Parks should treat the customer as King, not some old clamper mentality 'scammers' who are about to be heavily regulated by Government. The parking industry is not playing fair with people and their worst £100 rip-offs are about to be curbed, did he know? Did UKPC tell him? Do CBRE care?

Great news! UKPC have sent me a letter saying the penalty notice has been cancelled.

I like to thank everyone on this forum that helped me in sorting this, really could not have done it without your support.
