Plodding through the days not been much happening, just the two of us for meals. Salmon enjoyed Christmas day, chicken dinner yesterday, gammon today and meet family for lunch tomorrow. Activity down to average of 2 miles per day, must try harder, but it is harder with the days being so short. BP seems to have settled (on meds) to an acceptable rate (135/72/75 today). Need the test results from GP and hospital than perhaps I can settle back into quiet life.

I didn't buy any sweets or chocs, but may get a bar ot 72% dark or Bendicks bitter mints if the SM has anything nice today, OH has choice of Christmas cake, Pud and mince pies.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday and weekend.

    Morning all,

We are off out to meet MIL and FIL at a NT place this morning, so if nothing else, we will get some steps in at least. Last time we visited this place DH and I had a lovely soup, so hoping they will have something similar today as it's a bit nippy. Food yesterday was leftovers for lunch and a few crackers with cheese in the evening. We watched a lot of TV yesterday either side of taking DS1's dog home.

Glad to hear BP is acceptable today @maddiemay. You asked about DH (thank you xx), his was okay when SIL took it but GP still called him in, and it was acceptable for her too. However this has prompted a well-man check (he's 52) as he hadn't followed this up at our old GP and now feels he should get this done. BIL's diagnosis has definitely made DH think hard about health and getting himself checked out. He is back at the GP on Monday for a baseline blood test.

I won't be weighing in until the NY and will probably stick to Mondays. If you're weighing in today, then I hope it's not too horrific!

Well done to anyone who weighs in just after the holiday.Like you @Coxy11 I'm leaving it until January when all festivities are over and, to coin a phrase, I can 'take back control'. 🤣

At least we know that SW is a healthy way of eating @maddiemay so it can only help. 👍

We've had porridge for breakfast but not sure how the rest of the day will work out. It depends when visitors leave. It'll probably be a sandwich and then cold meat with chips and salad later. As it's actually Saturday (hard to keep track of the day 🤔) then wine syns will also be involved. 😁

    Afternoon all,

I woke with the intention of going to class then rolled over and went back to sleep🤣 didn’t get up until 11am 😳 so obviously right decision!

We’re on our second day of leftovers with salad bits, pickles and dressings thrown in to jazz everything up a bit. My friend has cancelled tonight as she has laryngitis again so wine and nibble syns saved there lol.

    Morning all,

A grey day and just as I’ve started typing the rain has started too.  I received a couple of clothing gifts that I need to exchange - one is too big, the other too small. I’m taking my aunt for her weekly toddle around M&S foodhall so can hopefully swap when I’m there.

Still eating Christmas food and the treats are still in abundance! Main meals are mostly on plan and I’m starting to refuse the crisps and Percy Pigs. I’ve either totally sickened myself or I’m ill 🤣🤣

Hope you’re all enjoying your time and getting a chance to relax.

    Hi all,

Have still just been eating LOs but had a soup out yesterday. Ended up at M&S cafe after the NT property visit as their cafe was rammed. Had tomato and basil soup which was lovely.

We have lots of naughties still too @Jellybaby but they will all go, even if it takes us until Easter! Valentine’s cards in Sainsbobs this morning!!

We are at SIL/BILs today. He insisted on having everyone round despite his diagnosis so will see how he is doing.

    Have a good day everyone

We've had DD2 and family today.

I did a chicken casserole with veg (I swip! 🤣). Others had trifle after but I had cheese (not HEA). Copious wine swips consumed.

Like others I'll get back to SW gradually but loads of goodies still left to tempt. 😋
