GM @helensbiggestfan. Glad to hear your neck is improving. I’m afraid old bones and cold damp weather are not a good combination. I take glucosamine & chondroitin but there are some days when you have admit defeat and accept some level of pain. Your weight loss plans should help your knee. Mine improved a lot when I lost a couple of stone. Unfortunately one of them crept back on, so that’s my next task. It’s so hard to diet in this weather, when all you want to do is eat comfort food full of carbs.😃. Must keep trying. Take care and keep warm everyone.

I've purchased a sunbed course for my DH as he suffers Fibro (and many other health issues) he feels the cold badly and has pain all over. So he is now in the past week been having his treat this is to help his bones feel a bit of warmth not the vanity side of it. As I can't afford to send him to a warmer climate for 3 months to help out. He says it is doing its job so its a win.

How is your knee now Helen? I have been feeling pain in my shoulder that I hurt back in 2022 (?) and I still feel it when it gets cold, along with my knee that I had surgery on back in 2010. It makes me feel old, well I am going to be 49 this year. As the saying goes, it beats the alternative!  :)

I am doing a challenge to socialise in my local area as I really haven't made enough effort to meet people since I moved here in 2022. I feel sad as one of my cats died just before Christmas and now I only have one cat and a dog left. I have lost 7 rescue pets since 2008 and it was lovely to have spent time with them, but they came with so much responsibility, time and money along with caring for my husband with cancer and now I feel I need to get out more. My husband retired last year and I am in the position where I have the time and the money to do what I want. My new years resolution is to do 25 classes and read 25 books in 2025 and I have my first class this week.

I want to lose weight and get more fit so I am going to incorporate exercise classes this year too. I ordered some dumbbells. I hope they won't just gather dust. That is a less important goal for 2025, if I'm going to be honest. :D Lol.

Crikey @Wednesday2000 it doesn't feel like over 2 years since you moved!

About bone pain - I cracked a cheekbone in 2003 when I fell face down on the pavement. Even now when it is cold I get pain in that cheekbone, and I also get sinusitis in that side too.

It feels like eternity to me! Even though I do like the area I'm in now.   :)
