Happy New Year 🥂🍾
Welcome to the new bright and shiny all singing all dancing new thread.
Welcome to the new bright and shiny all singing all dancing new thread.
Are you ready to transform yourself this year. To get fit, healthy and gorgeous. To ditch the frump and to get FAB-U-LOUS. To emerge from the chrysalis into a beautiful butterfly.
Are you fed up with being a downtrodden workhorse, are you ready to be a pretty circus pony, prancing and dancing your way through life.
Then join me, no more procrastination.
Last year was a big year for me......I finally plucked up the courage to tackle my dreadful teeth. It took the best part of 18 months and £15k. 8 implants later and I finally have my smile back. Worth every penny and all those hours in the dentist chair. It was a marathon but I did it.
Persistence Pays Off.
I am now reaping the rewards, no longer ashamed of my teeth, no longer too embarrassed to smile and laugh in public. I am a lot more confident, happily engaging with people again.
but......there's still room for further improvement. Im not done yet!!!

Each year I like to chose a buzzword or phrase to get me motivated and keep me on track. I reckon it's going to take at least a year to get to my goal weight and improve my health and fitness so this year my chosen phrase is ...
Project 365.
Project 365.
A Year of Change and Transformation.

Joining in. I want to be glamourous, practical, sassy and gorgeous. Not exhausted, in pain and frayed.
First step was to be mindful this morning of getting up making sure I took my meds and supplements and now having breakfast.
January goal is to keep taking meds and supplements as I seem to go off track with those often, decide what to do about my teeth (appointment tomorrow for a check up and on 9th for bone scan on jaw to see if implants possible) and to do physio exercises for pain in knee. There's Januarys plan right there.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Happy New Year @helensbiggestfan! I have subscribed - love the idea of Project 365. I retired in November so 2025 is my year of change and transforming my life - fitness wise and hopefully losing some weight in the process, doing some renovations and just living the best life I can.2

Happy NY everyone. Project 365 sounds good. I too need to shed some weight and lots of “stuff” I don’t need. So look forward to a year of tips and mutual support and lots of fabbing. Good luck all🤞2

Sorry - pressed post too soon! Just to say Happy NY and to say that I’ve subscribed to your new thread. I did post on your last one (and your other one too) but lapsed a bit when things got a bit hectic. My mum, who was 102, sadly passed away in October last year after being on end of life care, so it was really a blessing, as she was just existing and it was definitely her time to go. I spent a lot of time visiting, but in the end she didn’t know I was there, so it was really a relief to see that she wasn’t suffering any more.
Anyway, enough of that. I’ve really let myself go with everything - health/weight wise, cleaning - just doing the basics, so this year is going to about ME! Project 365 sounds great! My words for 2025 are “A new beginning”. I want to sort out my weight, grooming, pampering, cleaning the house, exercise. Seems like we all have similar goals.I too had my final teeth implants and it was well worth it. Go for it @Watty1. Good luck everyone.6 -
I’m joining you here! I joined a gym and lost half a stone towards the end of last year but would like another half a stone gone by my birthday next month.
I am also trying to make the effort and wear nicer clothes and look less slobby as I find it lifts my mood.Mortgage End Date: Apr 36/Aiming for Apr 28/Current Oct 33
