I used to love making candles - especially the ones where you put ice cubes in the outer layers.  Gave a lovely effect when the candles were burning.  But a right mess if done wrong.

You have to have a normal candle (10 inches?) centred in the middle of your mold.  I used to pour wax into a large tetra pack like 2 litres of juice would be sold in, let the wax cool, put in the normal candle in the middle and held in place to keep it straight.  Then you add ice cubes and then you add slightly cooled wax.  The wax that hits the ice solidifies and once you remove the whole candle from the mold the cube shapes drain and you're left with a large "holey" candle.

Very pleased with this purchase! I’ve been keeping my eye out for some
new desk drawers for my ‘office’  The current ones are ‘Ikea necessity’ due to space limitations when I bought them. However dropped into the CS today and found these. For £5!! 

Brought them home with me on the bus! The latest in my irregular series ‘Odd Things I’ve Brought Home on the Bus’. 

The bus driver only gave me a bit of a funny look.

@florianatwobob - you did well to get it on the bus alone!! Filing cabinets are the worst combination of bulky and shiny (ie slippery) without handles. This one at least has wheels and doesn't look heavy.

Thank you! I was quite proud of me. It has got a bit of weight to it (proper metal extending drawer runners) @Rosa_Damascena but could be a lot worse. I was able to lift it with a hand in the top drawer under its top and a firm grip round the back, I think a leg may have come into it to brace it too 

Fortunately I just had to roll it across the road from the CS to the bus stop home and then my DSis met me at the other end to give me a hand taking it off and my home is across the road and 5 doors down from the bus stop.  The bus driver also lowered the deck and pulled as close to the kerb as he could which was kind.

That's the way, but you have to hold it steady otherwise the drawer flies out! You have earned your tea and biscuits this afternoon
