I had a quick mooch today, and came home with an Autograph bright blue l/s cashmere cardigan for £6 and a Jaeger blue / grey reversible wool blend jacked for £8 (see photo)

I haven't commented on this thread for years, but I am delighted to see you all out and about and charity shopping, and sharing your finds with us all - thank you! It always gives me a good feeling to know there are other second hand enthusiasts out in the wild. I've developed a raging Vinted habit - buying initially, but selling now, too. It's a good way of dealing with things that no longer suit/fit/work for my life. I tend to give everything a chance on Vinted for a couple of months, and then it goes to charity.
Anyway. Today I went to my local town - very affluent and lots of charity shops. My finds:
A pair of warm socks - unbranded, rainbow colours
Two pairs of BN Totes socks - it's freezing, and obviously all I could think about was my feet! But Totes are great and £5 for two pairs is pretty good.
A pair of Crocs. I wear Crocs loads in the garden with the dog and already have two pairs, but one pair will go on Vinted. the new pair look unworn and were £12. They are SO ugly, but they are Crocs, so the uglier the better! They're black, with a platform sole, and the sole and straps are in splashes of acidic colours. I love them.
A Munrospun cashmere jumper. I hadn't heard of this brand before but it's been around since the 1880s and apparently invented the Argyle sock! Jumper is royal blue, with gathered puff sleeves and cropped to the waist. It fits beautifully and is incredibly warm. £20 but the RRP on House of Briar for Merinospun seems to be £69-89, so am very pleased.
A fine knit jumper in a slightly metallic pink for £7. Very unusual colour. Label is Japanese (or possibly Korean). Can't find much online about the brand - one of those things that might be quite a nice brand, or might be a cheap Chinese job.
A mini green watering can to keep in the house.
A very satisfying day! M100

I wanted to look for something I could use to store my umbrellas by the front door. I found a wooden box in the first charity shop I walked into today. £2.50.9

Yay…at last the snow & ice has gone and it’s safe to walk about again! Picked up a pair of brand new Clark’s low heeled navy shoes in a kind of cross between leather and suede material, (is it called Nubuck?), £6 from The Samaritan’s shop in Ripon on Monday. Today, found nothing til my last stop at the Sue Ryder shop in Meanwood…brand new Nicole Farhi jacket in a light leaf green, loved the colour and the boxy shape…bnwt and £12.

@Miró - I don't think I would have been able to resist the jacket, even though its neither my colour nor style! New it would cost at least £300.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
Yes, that's a gorgeous jacket!
A few things this afternoon:
Two neck gaiters - one in slubby greens for £1.99 and one from Seasalt for £5.99 which I may well re-gift to my mother in law. We both wear them lots when dog walking and I like to have several on the go!
Three tops for dog walks/boot camp/layering. One each from Ronhill, Rob and Trespass, all a fiver or less
A gorgeous Long Tall Sally white shirt. I am neither especially Long, Tall or called Sally, but I am off to Morocco in May and this is light cotton and will be perfect.
An iridescent cat toy which I bought for a friend's daughter.
I was EXTREMELY restrained and didn't but a lovely white Reiss top for £14.99. It was gorgeous, but see above: I have to remember that much as I might wish my life was hanging out in bars sipping cocktails in pristine white going-out clothes, I am actually mostly up to my eyeballs in mud.8 -
Love this thread, love seeing what other people have found. I thought I would show you all my haul of Crystals I found in my local charity shop. I was like a child in a sweet shop when saw the little basket loaded with them. They are the kind that throw rainbows around the room. I already have a few but to find more was a joy. I was charged £3 for the lot and I know (having bought a couple new recently) the large ones are usually £20 each if new. Probably my best find ever. There were still lots left as I didn't take them all. I like to imagine the previous owner having collected them and now I am appreciating their collection too.

Can I join too. I love a charity shop day. Was in 2 yesterday and thought they were a bit pricey. But got 5 little hand crocheted doileys which have already been washed and pressed for the great sum of 50p each.6

(ok they're not quite scarves but they are amazingly pretty and fun to play with (says the 67 yo child))
