Thanks Floss for the brand new shiny thread. I tend to lurk more than I post but I haven't actually bought much in chazzers recently. However once I've moved into my new house I shall be trawling the chazzers for furniture, household items and decor. And hopefully some fabulous clothing.......5

The annual Shelter Stockbridge extravaganza - second hand with a difference - is back for anyone that is in the vicinity of Edinburgh: https://scotland.shelter.org.uk/shops/edinburgh_stockbridge_community_shop . A first edition of Wuthering Heights is said to have sold for £150!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.3 -
Nothing chazza-ish to report! Not been out of the house for nearly a week due to the adverse weather conditions here and no sign of a thaw for days
Been spending loads on Vinted instead
. Best buy, (I hope, not received it yet) is an Aigle down coat in a sand colour for £15, (£18.94 with P&P & fees), RRP £399. The seller listed it as having a 'polyester' filling but the label displayed clearly said 'down filled'!

Day 7 of January and this far I have resisted the lure of the chaz. Its a hard habit to bread even though I know I am being choked by my own belongings!!!
My most vulnerable times are when I go out for a walk, which I try to do whilst it is light. I have had to be tough with myself and leave my purse at home!!No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I would like to join please. Love the thread’s title!I had some great charity shop buys last year. My best was a brand new cashmere cardigan which is £279 on the company’s website and I paid £6.50. I had a first look again yesterday but all the shops seemed to be low on stock.@keepcalmandcraft I remember the ‘baby Cham’ treat and never suspected it was lemonade. I think I realised when I got given the bottle with the glass once I was a bit older. What a great find.9

First trip into charity shop and left with a candle (50p) which I dont think will burn well but it was only 50 p so worth a try and glass storage jar for kitchen for £1.00
Am meant to be donating but have been clearing kitchen cupboards as a use up splurge and have lots of packets of seeds etc which can now be grouped together in nice jar with pretty very bright pink lidMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!8 -
A warm welcome to all the new posters and readers enjoying this thread.
Waving hello to all the regulars and looking forward to seeing your 2025 finds.
A very bright sunny day here which tempted me out for a walk in the bitter cold and, in order to warm up the end of my nose, I dropped into my favourite BHF shop where I was beguiled by BBC Good Food's 201 Perfect Cakes and Bakes for £2. I haven't been organised enough to take and post a photo so here is a link instead.
PS what I really dislike about this time of year is the way my nose runs the moment I set foot anywhere warm, I do not wish to earn the "runniest nose of the month" title but feel sure I'm up there in the top 10!6 -

Going to venture out today - first time since the snow hit, we still have sheet ice everywhere but I have to pick up my Vinted coat purchase and despatch a couple of parcels. Taken delivery today of a sparkly bag from Vinted which matches my recent sparkly shoe chazza purchase. Bloomin' bag cost twice what the shoes did but ya know....when you are a matchy matchy sort of person.....6
