Well life keeps ticking along and already 2 weeks to payday.

Last weeks spends include the last birthday present for youngest yoof and a frivolous purchase of £25 of a tin whistle for a new music project im dipping my toe into (I know I know what a sucker I am)

The big news hitting me currently came in the form of a letter informing me of a change in tax code - all those additional weekends have caught up with me and the taxman has decided I need to pay more (its never less is it!). I'm trying to reframe that in my mind to "how fortunate am.i currently to pay higher rate tax" rather than the natural expletives that instantly sprung to mind. Needless to say I am now actively looking at the things I can claim tax back on which I've never bothered to before 😂

If you could learn and then make sure you're around in a year or so to help me learn, that would be great, thank you very much!

I'm just increasing my work pension contributions for now, but have found out that my work pension is rather crap and as I'm starting so late I should probably give it some more thought once I have the brain space.
