Hope you feel a bit less grumpy today!

Aw thanks @jwil much more like myself today.
Been busy at work and I am pretty tired now after a full on week.

Talking of work there was a call out for weekend cover for this weekend....... I was half considering it but we do have plans with the yoofs that I would miss so whilst I felt guilty I was really verging on saying No.  Fortunately/unfortunately? the boss stepped in and said I'd already done my share of weekends this year and muttered about burnout again. Just had a count up and I've done 12 this calendar year and 8 since new financial year which is pretty hefty (I'm only prorated to do 4 per year) and I've got 6 or 7 to go before April. So I'm giving it a miss 😂 Lord knows how we will.cope next year with quarter of the team off but that's a worry for another night.

Just waiting for Mr T for my usual grocery weekly shop. Did have to get milk for work again today but managed to fund that from change in my purse rather than using the debit card - it's the little things !  I am itching ti Tilly tidy my balances down, makes adding up the numbers easier!!!

    Poor neglected diary!

The week has been one of those busy full on stressful weeks with long days, unpaid overtime and generally trying to be all things to all people. Ive pretty much collapsed into bed eqch night which is where I tend to update the diary.

Despite this we continue to keep to the budget even though there were a couple of unexpected school trips that popped up. Dh is still itching to starting overpaying the mortgage but is carrying on with the plan of a fully funded EF first. I shall tot the saving pots up next week when it's closer to pay day! But I have a figure of £850 saved in my head as a target.

I'm still desperately trying to eek out my foundation - at the beginning of the month i didnt want to spend the money so early in the month, now I'm trying to hold out til next pay day. Makes no logical sense really but a year ago I'd have spent that money plus more without thinking about it.

Off to catch up with more diaries whilst I eat my tea before I spend some time tackling my huge pile of work paperwork

Why do weekends go faster when I'm not working than they do when I am 😂 Sunday night again

It's been quite a busy one - yesterday I has my hair done (slightly early birthday present) then side hustle in the afternoon. We did stay and spend a bit at the winter beer festival that was on but there was a band playing which was really good. Today was a day of batch cooking, ironing and general housework catching up. I did manage to sit and sew on the 8 badges onto younget yoofs scout uniform ready for Remembrance parade next month which is one job off my endless list of things to do.

I have had to cave and order some foundation - I simply can't get anymore out the bottle and believe me I tried 😂 Unfortunately/fortunately my usual priceyish brand was sold out in my colour so I've had to go for an alternative- it'll be interesting to see how I get on.

Early night as another full on week coming up - roll on half term

All good things come to an end ............  and so I shall continue 😂.

Only Wednesday but feels like a Thursday (tomorrow is going to be very confusing) and a long day for me with an early start and late finish. Fortunately the work bit in-between was pretty good.

Unexpected spend today when a colleague and I had a meeting - she bought coffee last time so felt only fair I bought it today. She has also agreed to swap a shift so my Nov week which was going to be 7 days straight has atleast 1 day off in the middle 🥳 so happy days. Worth a coffee for that alone.

A month or so ago I queried a direct debit out the bills account which dh was supposed to investigate- turns out his idea of "investigate " was to cancel it and it's since emerged it was for a phone handset (one of the yoofs)  🙄 So a missed payment now recorded on his credit file but dh has cleared the balance in full (£51) so hopefully no further payments. I'm slightly bothered his credit record will show a missed payment but as we are not planning on needing credit, I am (marginally) less cross than I might have been in the past. Still it has messed up my budget for the remaining 4 days til.pay day. Grrr.
