@vulpix - Re-FOMO and the vet - have you tried wraping the cat in an old towel somewhere away from the carrier - so that he can't see it and then stuffing him in with the towel still on? Good luck. It took three of us to get a cat in a carrier one time - and she was just a little cat. I didn't know cats could put out their arms sideways. She was also the one who could spit a pill 20 feet away.5

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Back again - Hopefully I can finish the cheerleading for posts dated the 9th before I start dinner 🤞
GrannyKate, sounds like you had a lovely day on Saturday 😊 Relieved to hear that MRI went OK 🥲 Fingers crossed for a favourable result 🤞🙏 Hopefully you won’t get a ticket 🤞 Sorry to hear that DD2 has lost a couple of stones from her engagement ring 😔 hopefully she will find them when she returns home 🙏
Green_hopeful, a busy weekend 👏 I had to look up ‘hoggin’ & pleased I did because it sounds perfect for a repair to our driveway where it meets the path 🤔 I do hope you put a jar of mincemeat in the TLC Carriage 😉😉
QueenJess, sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell on Sunday 😔 I am hoping that you are now fully recovered 🙏 Excellent work in your DD’s room 👏 definitely deserving of a medal 🏅 which is on its way. Also well done on getting DS to tidy up an area of his room each day 👏 Great decluttering 👏
Muddy_Walker, sounds like the perfect Sunday 🥹 This “The Cake….overcooked bits have been removed and it’s been given more alcohol. I may have had a tipple too for quality purposes…….😜” did make me giggle 🙊 especially the emoji you chose.
suzeesu2000, sorry to hear that your “tummy wasn’t happy” on Sunday ☹️ although now that you have mentioned fish fingers I really want some 😅 So wonderful that you are so close to your DNiece 🥹
Brambling, the books that you decluttered definitely count as they were cluttering up your car 😉 Absolutely adored This “My sister is here for a sleepover tonight (her granddaughters' words)…….” so cute 🥰 Your poor cat 😢 I do hope he is OK now 🙏
vulpix, a pity you haven’t found your dressing gown but at least I can continue to imagine the removals chap driving around wearing it 🤣 Great work clearing the decks for the electrician & also sorting your clothes 👏 After all you do have a cruise to pack for ☺️ Hope both your cats are OK after their jabs yesterday 🤞
Success re the cheerleading 🙂 I will post now & see you all later 👋

Matty, that is hilarious. Hahahaha.
Fomo is over vigilant and terrified of being caught. Mr V had the carrier outside the room yesterday but I think moving house and a vet trip 3 weeks ago has stirred up Fomo's terror. Mr V's arm is a shocking mess. There is another attempt to get to a new vet appointment tomorrow. We have tried the towel thing before, it made him even worse, I imagine he has had that in the past.
So after sending a detailed online message to the surgery for assessment ( they discourage phoning and speaking to a human) and ticking the please phone me box I got a txt to say go to the pharmacy and get your BP read.( WHO is reading these messages and making these decisions?) Which I did. BP is in my boots which I know as I have BP problems for the past 34 years after having eclampsia and being very close to kicking the bucket. Spending 6 months in hospital deciding if I was going to make the effort to live! Big praise to the NHS, I am their biggest most grateful fan. The woman at the pharmacy messed up her log in so said she would email the results later and the surgery may be in touch! I went to the surgery feeling pretty grim and waited a long time to speak to a woman on reception who started to fob me off. I stayed firm and let her know that I know my symptoms after 3 decades and needed to see someone. I got an appointment with a nurse an hour later. The upshot is I have to have a BP machine on for 24 hours and a blood test.I am not entitled, I am not the worried well, I am not a hypochondriac. I am an ex nurse, I know my BP is throwing a paddy. This is how I lost my sight through uncontrolled BP. I have been at the surgery 4 years and have never seen a doctor yet! Any how enough of all that. It is shame that you have to fight to get help when you need it at the time when you least feel like fighting. All being said, all the staff are very nice if unable to action anything.
Nothing decluttered today. I have spent most of the day lying on the bed. Nurses Fluffy, Fomo and Mr V in attendance.
