Floriana, what fabulous news.
Floss, we have moved to the other side of town probably a mile from where were we were.
I am so slow with my jobs. 10 years ago it would have been sorted by now. I seem to have scrubbed the cooker so much that I am down to metal in places. I also seem to have burned the tips of my fingers with oven solution! Brambling, I have almost done the ovens now. Just one more go should do it. With hindsight I should have got a pro in. I am trying to save money at this house by doing it myself if I can and just having people in to do the big stuff.
dND, I hope you are feeling a bit more like it soon.x
suzeesu, result with your vinted helper.
The house is feeling like home now. It doesn't smell like someone else's house anymore. That could be having the windows open or I have got used to it!
My friend is coming for coffee soon, and a look round the house. I intend to try to tidy the dining room a bit after. I would like to start to dismantle a built in desk in an alcove, I want to put a piece of furniture there.
We are going out later to see a singer Mr V likes. Me not so much but the venue is a Cathedral which will be nice. Did I say we went to a dinner with speaker, well known ex footballer. It was for charity but the guy was drunk and just swore a lot.
Earlier I could hear bombs going off. It was crows in next doors apple tree knocking apples onto their decking. The tree is heaving with fruit.

@florianatwobob what good news!
@vulpix , while you may think you're slow with jobs an maybe less than your younger self the speed and amount you're doing is v impressive.
2 items sold, packaged and posted, one a hood quality winter coat that I loved but didn't suit me so hopefully new owner will enjoy.
Identified but still to go out 3 batteries and 2 medicines. 2 tops in cs bag. Also have 2 many napkins, keeping a no but set of 4 for cs as best quality but don't make me smile.
Working out where furniture from dad's will go when arrive in December and ok with this it's the tut and multiples that lie around and don't have a home or items I won't use that I want out.7 -
Thank you for all the birthday messages.
Great news on here for some people. A sense of relief and declutttering the worry is a huge item.
Sold two items so they have left the house. I am an early Christmas shopper so it is hard to declutter as I have a lot of Christmas presents hidden around. Using my stash of everything this year though. I have forgotten the last few years.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I got a call from the vet yesterday and the blood test showed my cat's kidneys have become worse so I had to call up this morning to make an appointment to have her put to sleep. She is over 20 years old so she has been in my life a long time and she is my last cat. Very sad. I booked it for Friday as they had a cancellation and I was supposed to be going out Friday evening so I will have to see how I feel after the appointment.
I seem to have lost my decluttering mojo as I have only dropped off a half full bag to the charity shop last week.7 -
@Wednesday2000 so sorry about your cat. Such a hard decision and time for you. Big hugs.5

So sorry Wednesday, such a very hard time, only advice is think about removing some stuff before you go, I found it so hard seeing bowls etc on the return from the vets

Thanks guys. Daisy - that is exactly what I'm going to do as I thought about what things we won't need now as we will only be down to one animal in the house, my dog. I used to have 8 rescue pets so this will be quite strange to have the house so quiet. I think I will want to adopt more animals (or at least one) in the future but not at the moment.
I did call up my dog's kennel (which is also a rescue centre) and asked them if they wanted all the spare pet beds we have. I washed the pet beds in the summer so they could dry outside so they can pick them up when they collect my dog next. I looked around and there is another pet bed so I'm washing that now. They said they would take them and I also said I had my cat's cat food and they said a local cat rescue charity would want any spare food. I just bagged it all up ready for them to collect.2025 GOALS

@Wednesday2000 so sorry to hear about your cat, so difficult. How wonderful that you've cared for so many rescue animals and given them a loving home x0
