Decluttered the dirt off the sides of the gas cooker, now only the oven and door to do but that’s going to have to wait. I’ve got a stinking cold. Made slow cooker spaghetti Bol, hubby enjoyed a big bowl, I had a smaller one and there is one serving now in freezer.Having an early night.

Just my adult step son and me for dinner tonight so we decluttered burgers, chips and onion rings from the freezer. We had prosecco with it. His dad doesn’t like burgers so we had food my step son likes as a treat. He finished off the prosecco while i washed up. It was very companionable.15

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday continued: Sorted out a bit of paperwork then napped in between watching episodes of the Derbyshire Auction House. DH went out for a walk.Dinner was conchiglie with bolognaise sauce (from freezer). Wudupa. Last year DH & I were very remiss in making a gift to DH’s DNiece M for her 60th 😔 so we have finally got around to sorting it this year as we are visiting M on Monday. DH has written cards with a message on the envelope & one in the card (I have enclosed cash) e.g. “A nice lunch in the countryside. Why not?” then “Have a nice dessert too” or “”I’ve always wanted one of those” then “And now I can have one” but my favourite is “Ooh, a posh Christmas decoration” then “You were always going to anyway” 🙊

Muddy_Walker, not surprised you spent time catching up with reading - as so many of our Declutterati family are keeping up the pace of their decluttering 😊 & putting me to shame although I do write lots of lists 🙊 Sorry to hear that you don’t like October 😔 so hopefully it will pass quietly 🤞 Sending you lots of good wishes & hopefully your jab will see your energy levels increase 🙏
Excellent decluttering in August regnbue 👏 Congratulations on passing your target 🙌 - A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. Also very well done on the weight loss - 31 lbs in just over 4 months is brilliant - another Gold Star ⭐️ More excellent decluttering in September & going from 557/500 to 628/500 has earned you yet another Gold Star ⭐️ Great work 🥳
suzeesu2000, This “I used to make cards and Jazzy insisted on cuddling up next to me while I was working, sat on the sofa. One evening, I sneezed whilst holding an open tub of fine glitter. Jazzy became a very sparkly furry girl. We had sparkly poops for days!” is hilarious 😹 Fingers crossed that you can find some extra information to continue with the family tree 🤞Well done on decluttering the contents of the top cupboard 👏
TC77, am I correct in thinking that Taiwan is relatively close to Japan so perhaps you can add in a couple of days in Japan just as a taster for a full trip in the future 🤔 Hopefully DD2 will be able to join you in Taiwan 🤞Great decluttering 👏 & please stay firm & resist the temptation to keep too many of the fleece blankets 😉 Mylo looks very serious 🧐 obviously not impressed with the glazier 🙊 Definitely a difference in size so just wondering if smaller cat is the one in charge 😉
suzeesu2000, Frankie is very handsome & looks as if butter wouldn’t melt 😅 From what you say he is definitely a little weird 😉
TC77, it might have taken a while for Mylo to settle but he definitely feels at home now after being looked after so well 🥹
weenancy, how odd 🤨 Just wondering if the plastic has some sort of smell that is irresistible to cats 🤔
Another page caught up 🙂 but do need to try harder tomorrow 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Mrs SD think I was awake as you went to bed. My house looks as if ransacked so tidying up, especially so the sofa can go this morning. A good reminder about the fleece, a couple are lovely bright colours which is quite cheerful so I will think and allowing myself one storage bag. One will go to dd1.
Dust builds up in days , so need it to be easy to clean.
Confidential papers dropped into bin at work.
I think/ hope Japan will be another trip so look forward to hearing @regnbue's trip.
Bought various bags online so need to decide what is being kept and return others.

(creeps in...)
I've been relaxing in the warmth of Mallorca for a week, and have realised that I don't need so many sunny holiday clothes so will have a sort out before packing them away.
I also had a good sort before I went of all my chilly weather clothes, and took several bags to the chazzer. I have a pile for Vinted which will be uploaded over the next few days.
My Tortie Whisky also chews plastic bags, and I have to check bags for life before use as she perforates the handles with her teeth for fun 🤷♀️
Today's plan (after my toasted teacake!) is completing a health form for UC, a trip to Costco for petrol & cat litter and some Vinted listing.

Gave my friend most of my velvet fabric scraps. I suspect she will try to return what she doesn't use. TBH it can all go in fabric recycling.
We have a funeral next Tuesday in Nottingham. Mr V has been asked to speak. Now for the task of finding his suit, shirt and tie from the packed things. Also something for me to wear.
Waiting to hear news of the new baby. Dil was scheduled for a C section at 9am. Today was also my Dad's Birthday.

Hi all, sorry not posted for a few days and I am playing catch up 😁. I will try to keep this post short 😂
Update on Dsis. She came home from hospital yesterday but is walking using a walking frame so is upstairs and will be having visits from the physio. She is very happy, me not so much as I really think she should have been able to use the stairs before she was sent home but I guess they needed the bed 😵. I will try to speak to Dniece today to see how it is going.
I have had a couple of very lazy days and a couple of reasonable days since I last posted. Flu jab decluttered, union thing finished and a couple of emails sent off. I had a clean and sort out in the bedroom and cleared some rubble that had accumulated around the bed so bedroom bin x2 was emptied and the bedroom recycling. Sorted through my birthday gifts and put them away, 2 into the cs bag as I will not use them. I used to keep everything I received as a gift but I have realised that if my initial reaction is nope don't like it, I will never use it so no point keeping it in case I change my mind, I won't 😂. Blood test decluttered, meds collected, dentist appointment made. About 20 years ago I was head butted by a challenging child and the enamel on one of my front teeth was cracked but the tooth was ok, now the enamel is falling off and it looks terrible. I am not sure what the dentist can do but we shall see. I might have to think about finding an expensive dentist for this problem 🙄. Kitchen bin and kitchen recycling emptied, 6 LDFPA, 100 emails deleted and 100 messages deleted from my phone.
I am waiting for a phone call from the practice nurse who tried to contact me yesterday but contrary to instructions called my mobile and left a message to please call the doctors. I returned the call and after much faffing about by the receptionist to try to find out who had phoned me, no name left on the message, I was told it was the nurse who had left a note to say she would call me today but wants me to repeat my blood test in 6 weeks. I have checked my blood test results on line and I think I know what the problem is. It is something that has been abnormal for over a year so I think it's time for a referral now which is what I will say to her when she rings.
Some good news, I have finally got a start date from the builder for the installation of the understairs toilet, 20th October so I have a list of places that need to be cleared including the understairs cupboard 😂 so I will be making a start on that today. Unfortunately I think some things will have to go in the loft but hopefully some can be binned 😁.
@Soontobeoap lovely fire surround 😁 but I was a bit confused about your comment about having to find something soft to go on the legs of the fire to stop it scratching. Can I just ask is that a working log burner type of fire? If so the base of the fire place should be fire and heat proof as the legs will get very hot and if the base is wood it will burn so you need something like marble or fire proof tiles. Also once the fire is in place you shouldn't have to move it so you could just tilt the fire slightly and remove the cardboard from under the legs 😁.
Right I better get weaving and start the clearing, I am so glad I have already sorted out the access to the drain or I would be totally overwhelmed right now 😁.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Thank you Liverpool Anne. It is just an electric heater. We were going to go for gas but what with having the chimney assessed, maybe having to get a cherry picker if smoke test was not good. Having chimney lined, buying gas fire and having it all fitted with marble hearth etc it would have cost £7000. We bought electric fire from B and Q for £249, hearth made and chimney blocked off £140 so £389 alltogether. I only really wanted the look. We will hardly have the fire on anyway.
A load of old bits removed off of the shed roofs. New shed roofing and cladding at back to stop leaks. Just need a tip run now to clear out sheds ready for me to sort stuff into mine for crafting again. I have also booked a collection from council for 2 old sofas and an old dining table from shed. Unfortunately next available date is 28th October. Items need to be kerbside by 7.00a.m. we don't get back from babysitting Grandchildren until late the night before! Anyway I grabbed the opportunity.
