Hellooooooo
I spent ages catching up thinking I would post…..then spent another lot of catching up!
I don’t really like October - too many bad memories- so hoping it nods along quietly.
Feeling a bit (ok a lot) overwhelmed at the moment- trying to pace myself then by the weekend allll my energy has gone. So then I get frustrated I have done so very little….
Jab week this week so perhaps that has something to do with it.
Anyway love to all xxxxx

Reading about the gold leaf ice cream and dog with Christmas tinsel made me chuckle. I used to make cards and Jazzy insisted on cuddling up next to me while I was working, sat on the sofa. One evening, I sneezed whilst holding an open tub of fine glitter. Jazzy became a very sparkly furry girl. We had sparkly poops for days!Today was a lovely autumnal day and so quiet here.Spent a lot of time trying to find a detail or a link or something so I can unstick myself on my great grandfather’s line. I know he was born in1812 in Suffolk in a place called, I believe, Haltham. His father was William. That’s it. Apart from his descendants and his name, That's all I have to go on. I will get it, it’s just frustrating.
Dinner was totally freezer and yummy.
I emptied a top cupboard too, pain in the neck as I can’t reach the top. I found 2 drums of Marvel dried milk powder. Or dried milk bricks. Totally solid. Both went out of date in 2020. Think it’s time to let them go!Have a good night all, sleep tight xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@Soontobeoap fabulous fireplace and I love the colour of the walls - you must be so pleased.
@regnbue the Japan trip sounds fabulous, I've wanted to go since a Japanese family came for a year to Leeds with the dad working with mine and they had 2 girls around my age (9/10) and was fascinated.
I've booked a trip to Taiwan - well the flights and have no idea where I'll be going.....
DD2 may now come out when I'm there and she's unsure when I should go to Australia, hopefully talking to her this week.
I item sold, packaged and posted. Dropped off textile recycling to H&M, and files and folders (adding some dividers and wallets) to the bank of things - also toiletries and memory stick. Some counted already.
Used up a shampoo left by DD2.
Looked out some fleece blankets and bedspread and deciding how many to give away..... (can feel I want to justify keeping everything).
Checked if CS will take a couple of vintage items and they said yes, but will check again when I take them in.

@suzeesu2000 is it you that has recently acquired a little black and white cat? Sorry if it is another fellow declutterai.
Anyway thought I'd post a photo of our big cat Mylo enjoying the scaffolding (glazier measured for.replacement pane wrong so it will be up longer) an one of little and big cat. Not great photo but captures the difference.

@TC77 I have a Tuxedo boy, Frankie. Goodness, your Milo is very like him. We’ve had him since December 2023, he was about 6 months old when he came to us. Poor little man had a rotten start being born into a cat hoarders house, she discarded him when he ceased to be the “cute little baby kitten”, sadly she is a regular Declutterer of black cats. He’s ours forever now even though he scratches the furniture, has clawed a huge amount of wood off one of the newel posts, talks constantly and is obsessed with licking plastic - little weirdo. I couldn’t love him more than I do.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@suzeesu2000 , Frankie is still very cute and handsome! We collected mylo from a rescue during lock down and had only seen a photo so abit shocked when we saw him as he's 3 x the weight of our little older cat. he was 4 then and hid under dd2 's bed for several weeks

@suzeesu2000 - Our youngest kitten keeps eating plastic, including chewing several things open.7
-
@suzeesu2000 - the only Haltham I can find is in Lincolnshire. But there is an Aldham in Suffolk you might want to try (knowing how people add or drop the H all of the time and d's and t's are interchangeable. Good luck.8
