@vulpix I recently got new sofas downstairs as my dog ate the old one so the chair wouldn't last two seconds! Ive made room for it and its going to be my chair whenever I want a moment to myself and also my chair for clothes for the week!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Goodness me that’s a busy thread today. Lovely to read what everyone else is doing.
my day started badly.
Stair lift had a hissy fit and refused to work so had to call the engineer out.Mum, aged 103, managed to cut her lower leg rather badly, lots of blood but not as bad as first thought. She lives in her own flat in a sheltered housing complex but the warden was covering other places today. Paramedics came and called another paramedic to come and dress the wound.Had to organise district nurses to come in and change dressing tomorrow as she’s leaking already.
Next had to try to organise her carers as she’s moved from the social services support phase and has to pay for care now. Preferred agency can’t accommodate the times she needs them at. Back to social services again.
Did one load of colours laundry and got that all dried and folded.
Just dished up dinner, we have main meal at mid day, and engineer for stair lift arrived.Mum rang all upset as her tea time carers had got her meal wrong - she’s had a stressful day bless her. Then she lost the tethered remote control that operates her rise and recline chair. Thankfully one of the night care staff came in and found it for her.
so, been a bit of a day.Decluttered mince beef from freezer.Tomorrow is a new day and will, I’m sure, be a better one.
Heres To a peaceful evening. Sleep well xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@BlueJ94 sounds a lovely use for the chair
@vulpix you had me laughing out loud at the pie tale
Part of me is keen to get rid of things I'm not keen on but that could be most of my belongings which is wasteful and I might need them and those that nobody wants could he landfill.
I know, I know my house shouldn't be the landfill waiting room.
No doubt I will carry on chipping away. 2 out of date food out, some rapeseed oil 2 years passed best before and maybe would have used but have excess olive oil and think smelled slightly funny.
Finding after work too tired to do much decluttering but have some items to take next time at lunchtime when working at home.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday: forecast high 19°C, low 13°C, humidity 78% & rain 12:15 & forecast to rain until 16:00 😒 DH was up early, had a bath & headed off to fat club at about 10:00. Hopefully his 2 days of 800 kcal have led to a good weight loss this week 🤞 I was up at 11:00 & despite the drizzle have decided that I need to do some laundry. First load washed & now in td. 13:30 DH phoned - a successful week as he lost 1.5kg 🥳 He is currently ticking off a few more bus routes 🙂 to Beckton. DH popped into MrS & picked up some individual pies for tonight’s dinner. He phoned 15:20 & is on the bus home. I managed to do 3 loads of washing with 2 tumble dried & folded. The 3rd load is hanging up to dry naturally. Dinner was individual pies, salad potatoes & baked beans. Wudupa.
DH went out for a walk after dinner. It rained on & off all day ☹️

BlueJ94, I have bookmarked ‘The Mindset Mentor’ & will carve out some time to have a listen - thank you for the heads up👏 This “Also quick note, I opened the room of doom yesterday and forgot how much I had decluttered so was genuinely surprised when I could actually open the door without hitting anything! 😂” is absolutely brilliant 🤩 & This “OH must of got bored before bed too as I came downstairs and the whole kitchen had a mini clean, even the sink had been washed out and cleaned! I usually do this before bed but went straight to bed as it was later for me!” is amazing & what a wonderful surprise 🥹 Great decluttering 👏
Good luck with the difficult frog GrannyKate 🍀 Sounds like you deserved a day off on Sunday 😊 Excellent decluttering especially the Tip trips 👏 That is one way to restrict computer time letting Sox run over the keyboard 😉
_Dolly_Rocker_ , better yet Brie should get her OH to declutter the fridge 😂 Good luck with both your decluttering & your listings in September 🍀
Not doing very well on getting to bed early so need to try harder 😉 Will catch up with the cheerleading later having fallen behind again 😬 Sleep tight 😴

Also, I'm might invest in a white board so I can write things down that I need to do for the week. I can write out what we're going to have for dinner as I'm always out of ideas and then if its on the board I dont really need to think. Just a little thing that came into my mind as I watch the rain whilst sipping my coffee.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Me again! I just got to work, I've decided on my lunch break I'm going to be productive and go to the shops and get some fruit and veggies.
