Happy Birthday @weenancyinAmerica, I’m glad you had a good day.
@TC77 I’ve been desperately trying to hold off buying things until the new kitchen is in place, but the lack of mugs, plus i broke the kettle🙈 means things are going to be purchased early, plus extra mugs as a back up!! The cats are just destructive, i’m just slave and servant, and a very clumsy one at that! Doesn’t make a great combination😂
Playing catch up with birthday presents, I was doing so well up until May, and then went downhill fast.279)-280) two birthday presents sent out
281) scraps of ribbon used up as a finishing touch for the presents, just the right length.
282)-283) two more items sold on V, very unexpected but was able to ship out straight away.
284) packaging I had saved for sending things out, really pleased by how much has been used up
285) soft plastics to supermarket recycling point, really trying to stay on top of this instead of waiting for a big bag to amass.
Now planning a tip run for the things I have broken🙈Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good morning good people.
My bin monitor neighbour came to call yesterday as I was sorting my wool, fabric and trimmings stash.( all over the sitting room floor) She left with some wool and half a jar of homemade blackberry jam. That was to save me from myself. We were gifted it and I had already eaten half the jar in a few days. Oh, I also gave her some beads for her friend who makes jewellery.
In my bag for the next time I go to craft club 2 cardboard wreath blanks and a wool storage bag to give away.
I opened a tin of raspberries which were a funny colour so they and a second tin can go. It's small wins for me these days.
I am home alone Fri, Sat and Sunday this week. As well as usual work Mr V is compering a weekend event. I am going to make pizza and get my sewing machine out. I have some yellow velvet and trim from stash and a cushion inner to unite. I have another nice piece of linen with a Chinoiserie print but need to buy some piping when we next go out anywhere.
Great news, my stepson is coming up on Monday evening to help bring the furniture home from Mum's house. Our sitting room will look like a furniture warehouse for a few weeks.
I have stalled with packing as there is a dearth of banana boxes. We have tried loads of different places and even at 8am!!!!!!!! I have a few in the loft which I will ask DD1 to get down when she visits tomorrow.
My brother is allegedly collecting the box of rocks and taking some stuff from Mum's garden to the tip this weekend.

Happy birthday xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x8 -
Did a little bit this morning. Cleared out two small drawers. Only a couple of items removed but I guess it all counts.
Then treated some of the fence so two tubs have left the garage as well as oddments of rubbish in the garden. I just had a quick tidy up and disposed of things. I can't do much as my wrist aches, but I manged to finish off the two tubs.
DD is at her dad's tomorrow so will do the majority of it then. I have a bag of clothes, shoes and bags to go. She wants everything I am getting rid of so need to wait until she isn't here.
Today I will also be taking the batteries to the supermarket to recycle as well.

We just had to move the stuff from our bedroom into the spare room as we are getting laminate fitted instead of that horrible carpet that was here before us. I found a dog toy upstairs that I had forgotten about! I'm not sure why it was there.
I need to declutter some weeds tomorrow. I'm not doing it now as I'm tired from moving furniture. We had to move the clothes airers into the living room as there wasn't space. I'm going to deep clean the bedroom tomorrow too.
I was going to go out to a new class today, but I'm not in the mood.2025 GOALS

Saturday is another bright summers day - fluffy white clouds in a blue sky, sunshine & a light breeze. High 25°C, low 14°C, humidity 47%
I see I have fallen further behind with the cheerleading so I have set a timer for 25 minutes & will see how I get on starting with posts dated Thursday 7th 🤞
florianatwobob, very belated birthday greetings 🎂🥳 Excellent work decluttering the contents of your wardrobe 👏 especially as you were able to get the items completely out of the house almost immediately 🥳 This “I’m still wondering it it’s normal to get kisses on the end of messages from your very happily married plumber….😉” had me in stitches 🤣 you little devil 😈
daisy_1571, isn’t royalty supposed to have blue blood rather than blue hands 🙊
Although I like the idea of dyeing clothing outdoors in a tub rather than in the wm 🤔
Brie, This “decluttered a lot of hair and angst with the help of my hair guy.……. He's a good friend and a great listener so dumped a lot of family frustration on him. He then did the same to me but when it's not your own family it slides off so much easier.” made me smile 😀 sounds very cathartic for both of you 😉
Lovely post Floss 😊 what a great idea to disguise the ink spots with some embroidery ☺️
Excellent work with the packing YBR 🤩👏 Sounds like you are almost done + you are so well organised ☺️ that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
suzeesu2000, that was very generous 😊 I will keep my fingers crossed for a week or two of steady overnight rain so that the hosepipe ban will be lifted & your friend can use her new hosepipe 🤞
vulpix, noooooooo 😱 I am now desperate to see a photo of the “box of rocks” 😂 Also looking forward to seeing all the upcycled/renovated furniture once it is in situ 😊 Your house must be starting to look like a very tidy & well ordered though packed warehouse 🤔 so I am keeping everything crossed that you get an early moving date.
Timer has gone off so will post this - almost caught up one page. I hope that everyone is having a lovely Saturday 😊

Saturday continued: DH phoned he is now in England & his eta is about 19:00. I have done a little pottering & binned or recycled some bits from the bathroom 1458 & 1459.
Back to the cheerleading now so timer is on:
Liverpool_Anne, so pleased to hear that you & DNiece enjoyed the Monet thing & had a nice meal ☺️ Fingers crossed that you managed to sort out the footy ticket 🤞
weenancy excellent work getting so much decluttering done 👏 Over 200 items in a week definitely merits a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 😊 Sorry to hear that your roommates are all still causing problems 🥺 Perhaps your BiL could have words again 🤨 I will keep everything crossed that the social workers manage to get the very problematic roommate into rehab 🤞This “I think I am getting the little old lady routine down pat when I am out - people keep asking if they can help.” made me smile 😊 & hope that you are accepting help when needed - nothing wrong with with using your age to your advantage 😉
TC77, good luck with the upholsterer 🍀 Congratulations to DD1 on qualifying as a nurse 🥳👏 Although This “DD1 waiting to hear if she has any more 'hours' to give the NHS before being able to apply for her nursing registration - unfortunately no jobs now for newly qualified nurses” brought me up short 🤔 how can there not be any jobs for newly qualified nurses when hospitals are crying out for staff 😾 As for This “She's going to cat sit for a day or two next week so I can go to my dad's and I'll leave a selection of items for her to choose to take or let me know she may want at some point and I can then release………..I quite like the idea of 'releasing' items.” I will keep everything crossed that you manage to “release” plenty of items over the weekend & the coming week 🤞Good luck with This “Setting myself another 50 items target as I try and clear up as DD1 worries about me in my chaos. Have another frog to sort this weekend too.” 🍀 This “Hoping everyone takes time to be kind to themselves and as always remember the 24/7 TLC carriage.” is a timely reminder & I do hope that you will take advantage of the TLC carriage 🙏
Hope you had a lovely holiday Moorviews 😊 - nothing wrong with prioritising reading the thread over doing the holiday laundry 😅 After all it does take a little time to get back into the swing of things 😉 Lovely cheerleading post 😊
Timer has gone off again so time to post 😉

Back again & currently cheerleading posts from yesterday:
Wednesday2000, great work decluttering a radiator 👏 hope it wasn’t too messy & that the new radiator is looking good & working well 🤞
QueenJess, you are such an inspiration 🥹 when I read This “I stopped being able to see things to get rid of in the house, so I opened up the loft and had a quick scout through it. Lots more now gone! I'm sure there's more in the house to go, but not quite seeing where they are right now as most the stuff I am seeing are things that are waiting to be used up. I'm sure they'll show themselves soon.” 🥹 I was amazed at how dedicated you are to decluttering 🤩 I also realised that I need to work a lot harder at ‘opening my eyes’ as I have stopped ‘seeing’ my clutter at all (there is plenty of it sigh 😞) & then actually start getting rid of it.
suzeesu2000, I beg to differ about This “Nothing decluttered today…..” 😉 as you ‘decluttered’ several tasks throughout the day 👏 Wow, that is amazing work on the family Tree 🤩 I am so impressed at such dedication & the amount of work you have done that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with learning Latin 🍀😊
Alarm has gone off again, so yet another post 😉 + the chance to make myself another drink.

@Floss lovely idea about the embroidery and may use this for some clothes, however, the bedspread is on the purple sofa which while comfy the colour is not great so a win, and have moved cushions around.
Mrs SD, sadly many experienced nurses are paid the same as newly qualified so more cost effective and most advertised as needing post registration experience, but you can't do 'bank' temp shift until 6 months experience and been told can't work as a healthcare assistant once qualified. However, her tutor has said jobs will come up. Decluttering £ to DD1 and going to exhibition after work with her next week.
Looking for a retro style fridge/freezer as it will be in the dining area and decided no point waiting til I move to make sure it fits (like the keeping for best thinking) as accept this will be a couple of years away and current f/f is both way too big and falling to bits. When I told DD1 as she knows I am very MSE, she said 'tell me it's not an original retro one, from the 50s which only cools to 10 degrees' and is only abit scruffyMy dining furniture is 1959 but affordable makes such as CDA and electriq don't have good reviews.
Have done some decluttering and off to do abit more and will report back later.7
