Gosh better you than me this weather stripping walls etc I've just taken some iced water out to the two guys doing the extended patio in our garden Its boiling out there and they are shovelling the old 25 square yards of small stones and rubbish up to lay new slabs down Bless them one young man looks like he's melting so plenty of water every hour for them.
DD cancelled the window cleaner this week as there is such a lot of dust with all the shovelling but once the old bits have been decluttered into the skip at the front of the house and the new patio laid it will look really nice and the dogs won't keep running over what looks like Brighton beach all the time.We are forever digging out pebbles and stones from their feet.
My plan for today is to sit by the window with a nice book and relax, as sleep was not brilliant last night so perhaps a bit of reading the back of my eyelids maybe on the menu later., plus of course there is Wimbledon starting today which I really enjoy. DD has some melon in the fridge which will cool me down nicely
enjoy your day chums and try to keep hydrated

I'm watching Wimbledon too. I just had a bowl of strawberries and cream for breakfast.
I'm not venturing outside today, apart from to the garden.
I am going to go up and down stairs today to declutter in between the lulls or boring bits of the tennis. I have a picture frame, a mirror, two glass ornaments and a dress so far, but I'm hoping there will be a lot more later today.2025 GOALS

Decided that I really needed to get the Lidl pseudo Birkenstocks out of the bedroom and closer to the charity shop. Stopped and put them on just to remind myself just how uncomfortable they are. Big mistake. Guess what, coming off statins means my feet aren't so swollen and they fit nicely. Not great but good enough (I think) to wear around the house - which is why I bought them. So they are on probation for the moment.
Meanwhile there's numerous birds (the feathered variety) queued up at the big pot saucer in the garden that I keep filling with water. There was what looked like a duck squatting in it the other day but that turned out to be a very round and somewhat green pigeon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Monday: up a lot later today having stayed up so late watching the finals of Countdown - worthy Welsh winner - first since 1997 😊 It is another hot sunny day with barely a cloud in the sky, no sign of a breeze & temperatures set to rise to 31°C 🥵 (only went as low as 18°C in the early hours of this morning). I had thought I might go to the CS today but I will wait until Wednesday at the earliest when temperatures are set to fall slightly to 24°C with a chance of rain🤞Took the last of the washing in off the whirligig & folded everything. Also repaired rips in the attached petticoats of two skirts. Rest of the afternoon was spent clearing down more programmes from the TV planner - now have 78% recording capacity. Whilst we were in Scotland DH discovered one of the rear lights wasn’t working, so today he replaced the bulb + cleaned the brake lever which had been sticking. Dinner was lasagne. Wudupa.
