As it rained on & off all day, all I did was watch TV - currently rewatching The Walking Dead. DH cooked dinner, an experimental meal - meatballs in a light barbecue sauce on plain boiled rice for DSis with stir fry vegetables for me & DH. It was OK but nothing special. DSis did the wudupa 😊

Florenceem, I am so very sorry to hear that MrF has slipped back to his previous state of spending hours & hours on the toilet 🥺. I truly hope that the antibiotics help 🙏

Just that here!I took the family with me to the "Celebration Event" at my Theological college, which is for the leavers like myself to Celebrate (clue in the name) and receive a certificate and a coffee mug! The weather was significantly better than forecast, although still wet at times, and we were given a very good lunch. A long day but very good. The one declutter item is that Mum will take away with her a mattress topper she dumped on us because the sofa bed is too hard for her liking!Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: ⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅15 -
Sorry to hear many people are struggling and a reminder of the TLC carriage.
Welcome @BridgetTheCat lovely supportive community, and total freedom how we declutter and what we count. The fridge is a great start.
Having a nice time with DD2 which is lovely as can be stressful - we went up to South Kensington yesterday for the Great Exhibition Road festival - runs every year and good for kids and adults interested in science (and art) and we're seeing a film today.. DD2 cooked me a meal and did the washing up!
Hoping to get some frogs and general tidying up this morning.
Offered DD2 trousers and 3 shirts, the 2 shirts she didn't want in CS bag. Item sold, packaged and posted. Hope to drop bag off at CS , then during the week a final listing before a big declutter to CS. We will see...14 -
Hello Bridget the cat, Welcome.
I hope oral antibiotics are enough Florenceem. Sending strength.
Congratulations YBR.
Nice to hear you and DD2 are enjoying each others company TC. I would love to have an easier relationship with my DD2. We don't argue, she just resents me because her Mum died and there's nowt much I can do about that. I just hope as she matures she will find it easier to enjoy my company.
First my apologies for spelling mistakes. Sometimes a sentence starts off and then I change it and forget to alter spelling. I imagine it happens a lot with my posts!
The house we viewed was a no. I just couldn't see myself there. I am resigned to the fact that we will live at my Mothers house and just wait. Will be typical that my Mum's house sells now after a year on the market.
I made double dinner last night so no cooking today. The forecast is rain all day so I will go through some more kitchen cupboards and pack more things in the spare room, and knitting, there's always knitting.
Oh btw, baby Casper is a boy, they had a scan yesterday. They will soon have their own rugby team. He isn't actually going to be called Casper. He is due on Halloween so Casper the friendly ghost.

Helloooooooooo!
rested yesterday was very tired from an increase to 6 hours a day at work. Trying full time next week to be revised if necessary. Problem is we have been sooooooooo behind there is lots to catch up on and I feel guilty having been off for so long…..but then the sensible part slaps me round the face so Inner Critic is on a rampage. Guh
I am also re-evaluating my hair - it is def thinner with lots falling out but enough left to not want a buzz cut….so after a few tears one of my friends pointed me in the direction of wide bandanas and - more importantly- TikTok on how to wear them!!!!!!!!! It’s very useful having a girly friend!Scores on the doors today:
195 deleted emails
196 a dead plant that just literally fell apart
197 up hand wash
198-230 the garden work we did!!!!! Patio still half cleaned but it isn’t rushing anywhere
231 more emails
232 upstairs bin
232-240 under stairs done by hubby
241-254 13 unneeded hair accessories
Go me!!!!!!
welcome Bridget we’re all a bit mad here but it helps!

Another small update for today - some tidying done and decluttering tends to occur as part of that. The rest of the candied frozen orange juice has been turned into an orange drizzle cake with chocolate chips as the last orange drizzle cake mysteriously disappeared.. One more day of tidying and decluttering and then I shall be in the tlc carriage to recover from my operation on Tuesday. At least without me being able to do the food shopping we should be able to eat our way through the food in the cupboards/fridge/freezer.1 - mailing list removal

Good evening. Just popping in but no read decluttering done here. Thursday we had the hairdressers. Friday was just a quick tidy through.
Saturday was my beautiful cousins wedding. We had been asked to do the balloons as DH used to do them before. He'd never done a balloon arch before though. It took us over 3 hours but did look good.
There was a lot of smiles, a lot of dancing (not from me) and a lot of tears, especially watching my cousins and her friends dancing to 'its my life' there was tears everywhere. The words really hurt but also how strong she is.
Today I've only done some washing and i was exhausted. Took myself to bed for 2 hours. Didn't sleep but needed the rest. I've got a paperwork frog that I really, really need to get sorted this evening/tomorrow.
DH is doing BBQ on the grill as weather isn't great. It was DS1 birthday in the week and he usually has bbq for his birthday but weather has been rubbish this week. I suppose i better go and help.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

On Monday Mr F had an appointment booked at the surgery about his heart. We saw a different Dr - in the surgery for 30 minutes. Told to take the antibiotics and contact them if no improvement.
Mr F was still spending a lot of time on the toilet at the beginning of the week - none of the medics seem to worry about this.
I treated myself to yet another sewing machine - this time a Cover Stitch - I now have 3 Juki machines - flat, overlocker and cover stitch.
I carried on working on Dil's dresses - I feel they were God sent as a distraction from caring for Mr F. I can manage to chop off fabric and sew up hems and plackets while he is ill but not attempt any concentrating items.
I gave back to a friend a jacket that I was asked to work on - too involved - he can take it to an alteration person.
Mr F wanted to go with me to friendship/lunch club on Wednesday - I told him that he couldn't stay in the disabled toilet there for ridiculous lengths of time.
I went to singing group in the evening.
I had started to feel poorly on Wednesday afternoon and was worse on Thursday. I was shivering and had a sore throat and blocked nose.
