Glad to 'see' you JackieO that year has gone really fast, hopefully the garden will be all ready for you to enjoy some sun this summer.
Florenceem hopefully the tablets and antibiotics help Mr F this time and maybe they can find out why it keeps reoccurring

Lovely to see you @London-1 we have missed you. Good to see you are still beavering away and enjoying island life. Hope your Dr’s visit sorts out MrF @Florenceem. He was doing so well.I have so much sorted ready for a carboot but the weather isn’t playing ball when I’m able to go. Have to fit in with DH’s fishing matches!! Oh well I’ll keeping sorting and hoping. It has to happen eventually.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday: a bit dull & overcast to start but then turned into a pleasant, warm & sunny day with a high of 22°C & a low of 14°C. DH & I have each lost our list…… both feeling listless 😂 Dinner was shop bought meat pie (aka meatless pie 😉) mash & baked beans. Wudupa

I will at least try to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
charlies_tribe, I really enjoyed series 1, 2 & 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale. Series 4 & 5 were OK. Having waited quite a while for Season 6, I was looking forward to it but have been slightly disappointed ☹️ However there are only 4 more episodes so I will persevere. Once the series has finished, I will reread the book & the sequel.Great work in the bathroom 👏 Ten showers a day, no wonder the bathroom gets damp 😬
GrannyKate, pleased to hear that the gardener has done such a good job 😊 Hopefully whichever ‘fencer’ eventually does the fencing will also do a good job 🤞 What a great idea to have the whiteboard in the kitchen 👏 especially as it is not dependent on electricity 😉 Excellent & eclectic decluttering 👏 Really looking forward to seeing the before & after pictures of the kitchen once the finishing touches have been completed 😊
mehefin, very interesting information about trampolines 😊 I certainly hadn’t realised how complicated it was 😧
Florenceem, hopefully the doctor will be able to sort something out so that at least you can get some rest 🙏
So lovely to see you London_1 🥹 I have missed your posts & tales of the family ☺️ It sounds like you have all been very busy ☺️ Very pleased to hear that all the building work is completed & that you can now concentrate on the garden 😊 It was also so wonderful to hear all about your grandsons & how well they are doing 🥳 I almost cannot believe that your great granddaughter is almost 2 🤩 doesn’t time fly. So sorry to hear about your friends 🥺 Hopefully you will post once in a while just to let us know how you are 🙏 As you can see, many of us have really missed you ☺️
So much for catching up with the cheerleading 🙊 Just noticed the time so I am off to bed. Sleep tight 😴

I have been reading along. @ vulpix sorry to hear about dd2 sounds tough.
Felt abit low when dd2 left , but good we had a lovely weekend. Opened her bedroom door and quickly closed it- can wait til she's back at end of June. Have enough of mine to sort out.
A jacket and top given to dd2 from my stash.
Been watching more minalism type videos rather than taking action. 3 tall dessert glasses just put in cs bag which is now full.
Also some earrings in cs and cloths in bin.
Energy company offered paltry compensation for the months of time and stress dealing with court stuff for dd1 but decided to accept rather than go to ombudsman and get them to send cheque to dd2 and I've reserved right to follow up their failure to make reasonable le adjustments ( think they can get fined) but want to draw a line under and have boxes of paper.
Have many other frogs to deal with hopefully some before the weekend. Wash on then clearing table so I can work at home.
Lovely to hear @GrannyKate and @London_1 are enjoying move.
I'm hoping to get gutters cleaned and repaired this week and accepted quote for painting outside of house. Have quote for stairs and bedroom carpet but need to get rid of a few more things first.

Oceanspirit, I agree about empty houses, not everyone can visualise furniture in situ.
There are three offers on my Mum's house. This estate agent is marketing it much better than the last one.
Thank you for dino making tips Liverpool Anne. I will give it a go.
Positive that Mr F has some improvement.
Nice to see you London 1 and hear that you are enjoying Island life.
That is a big stressful frog with a line drawn under it TC. Worth the lesser result to be able to move on. Well done for perseverance with it.
Not much decluttering here. Used up a swede which has been in the fridge since Easter! Chucked out some ice cream sauce that I bought for visitors last Christmas. I need to look through the fridge next at all the sauces and stuff. The kids bring ingredients when they visit as they like to cook. They don't take anything away with them and it's not always what I use. Hence chucking out of date spices away.
I am feeling a little fraught about the house move, I am the "fixer" of the family and just have so much on so I haven't done as much sorting and packing as I would like. Nor can I find anywhere to move to! I am also stressing about the sale of Mum's. Thank goodness we emptied it last year. If I was having to pack up two houses it could be the end of me.
Forgot to bring more bricks down from the top garden. I am still keeping on the move as physio for my knee. It is improving.

So I have started decluttering big time again whilst planning our new living room. I need to get started so that DH is motivated to remove the wood chip wallpaper! Lots of packaging has been removed that was on 2 chairs and a garden table. The old garden table and chairs have been cleaned up and listed on wightbay ( the islands eBay) and I have started packing up and clearing out bits and bobs from lounge. Also gone are old saucepans and frying pans after an under stairs cupboard clear out.. 3 bags gone and some bigger furniture items to go if I can sell them.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi chums just waiting for the last quote to arrive re the gardening work then will work out the finances
a bit of creative juggling and accounting is called for I think.Thank you so much for the welcoming 'waves' It really is so remiss of me and I will do my best to keep everyone up to date.
Its the IoW festival next week, so the roads will be very busy I shan't use my car as unless I'm going to Newport about 7 miles away as the roads will be busy with the festival goers
. My son-in-law Simon will have to battle through the traffic to get to work , but he starts around 07.30 so he can get an early finish, so he might be lucky
I really can get most things via the bus into Ryde which literally stops at the bottom of my road every half hour (plus of course with a bus pass its a freebie )
The bus service where I am is really very good, and I have found the Southern Vectis drivers really nice and friendly, and make sure you are virtually seated before pulling away, (well the older passengers anyway )
The local bus service is surprisingly well supported as I think because its not very big the parking can be a bit of a problem ,especially when the visitors start coming over.
My Drs surgery is really good as well, the receptionists and Drs are so helpful.
DD has a problem with her knee at the moment and rang the other week at 08.15 and got an appointment with a Dr at 09.20 and a referral for an MRI scan and was seen at St Mary's hospital within a week. I suppose because there is less than 150k residents on the island its a lot easier to be seen, depending of course on which surgery ,but mine in Ryde is excellent.I see the cardiac nurse every three months, and back in Kent it was once a year if I was lucky, and when Covid hit I didn't see one for almost two years. Where the surgery is there is a small Boots on site, so if you get a 'script its sent downstairs and you just go down and wait for it excellent idea I think saves going into town. As I have a regular lot of medication I just log on as I did last night and text the surgery and this morning I got a text to say its ready to be picked up, all filled
Possibly the only medical drawback is there are few, if any NHS dentists and long waiting lists to get one, and it is quite expensive if you need treatment.
But apart from that there are lots of independent small shops which is lovely as my DD says its like stepping back in time when you go to the shops
On Monday we went for a ride out to Yarmouth and I bought my son-in-law some fancy coffee beans, and we had a coffee and cake in the small business there its called PO41 (the post code ) and the coffee is delicious and the cakes even more so.
We strolled along to the end of the pier and back and spoke to a delightful little asian lady who was fishing , my DD love fishing and they had a good natter about Bass and fishy things
Wen we got back into Yarmouth we went into a tiny ice cream shop tucked away up an alleyway and had a gorgeous cornet and another natter with the assistant there
It feels like every shop ,apart from the big supermarkets ,are really pleased to stop and chat and pass the time of day which is nice and makes you more inclined to shop there Everything is a lot slower paced her and makes life a lot more stress free
Next week my IoW friendship group I joined are all meeting up for a coffee morning at The Old Smithy's in Godshill, I have been there several times, and even climbed the hill to the church which is also pretty good inside and very peaceful. I seem to be doing far more than I did on the mainland, and the time just flies by ,but I will keep in touch and lurk occasionally to see how you are all getting on
Onwards and upwards chums

London_1 may I recommend Dimbola Lodge to you for a visit? The house is a museum dedicated to Julia Margaret Cameron who was a photographer from 1860. There is also an exhibition from the original IOW festival held back in 1970 at Afton Down. On the site downstairs is a cafe where you can sit inside or outdoors. There is parking right outside too and they do amazing cakes and meals. Freshwater Bay is just down the road and there are seats to sit and watch the world. Well worth a visit to Freshwater.Today I have tackled a LONG overdue project: sorting hubbies shirts. He has a 4 drawer chest of drawers which now has an empty drawer. Found shirts he didnt know he had, 10 pairs of PJ bottoms that were too small and a T-shirt which literally fell apart it was so old. Now have space to put his other shirts away. I know there is more as I still have his wardrobe to do but I'm not brave enough to tackle that today!Enjoy the rest of the day chums xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I went back for the last 6 episodes of the final series of Handmaid's Tale, having lost patience sometime around series 2. Well worth sticking with it for that last 4 hours.I really enjoyed series 1, 2 & 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale. Series 4 & 5 were OK. Having waited quite a while for Season 6, I was looking forward to it but have been slightly disappointed ☹️ However there are only 4 more episodes so I will persevere.

I left Mr F sitting on the toilet when I went to bed last night - I didn't wake when he came to bed.
This morning he went straight in the toilet when he got up - I needed to have a shower so he got off the toilet and went downstairs to sit on the cloakroom toilet.
I did manage to get him out of the house to visit SA for friendship/lunch club.
After his meal - Mr F went in the disabled toilet and was there while I carried dinners home and went to collect his prescription. I managed to get him out of the toilet by telling him that our Dil was coming round about her dresses.
Dil and 2 Dgd's have visited and pins have been put in dresses. There were 6 dresses in the porch when I got up yesterday.
I am off to singing group tonight.
