Liverpool_Anne said:Hi all, most of yesterday was spent dealing with the union thing but I have passed it on to someone higher in the food chain now 😁 and will just have a watching brief 😁. The lr bin was emptied and I went to the footy after tea so was home late but didn't get to bed until the early hours and slept like a log so only getting organised now 😂. The footy result was good so we have a little trip to Wembley to look forward to 😁 hopefully I can get a ticket 👃. I have a small list 😁 which includes washing but the weather today is miserable, grey and overcast so not expecting any to line dry so have to be mindful of the space on the maiden 😂.
@Dizzycap I have had 3 dashunds in my life, one when I was a child in Zimbabwe who was my constant companion until we returned to the UK and my dsis has had 2, one still here at the age of 17 and I looked after him for 2 weeks last year when my dsis went on holiday. Sweet dogs but my dsis spoils hers rotten 😂
Right I better get on with something or the day will be gone. Hugs to everyone who would like one.

Take care everyone

This is my first and last Dachshund, only due to my age and how long they can live - famous last wordsI hope to have babyface until she's a good old age as she's exceedingly happy & healthy but providing all is well with her that she maintains a good quality of life. One of my friends had her daxie until he was 22

I did the other job on my list yesterday afternoon - so 4 surfaces done in my hall and craft room - now to keep them clutter free.
It has rained heavily over night but should be okay when I go into town.
I want to pop to the sorting office to chase a parcel that hasn't turned up.
I have 3 jobs on my list today.
Hope everyone has a good day.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Decorator finished DD2's room - still have door and fireplace to paint at some point but ceiling, walls and skirting all done furniture back in place, glued leg of dining table, new seal for bath shower, helped me get a stuck shade on my standard lamp (will take to CS) as replaced with a new to me one from the CS, also helped me put a unit together from my dad's. Trying to think what to put in it - its in airing room/DD2's study will debate as need to think how to use. I was out and he had to find some things so looked in many places in my house - diy stuff scattered in several cupboards and no real system.
Will take 2 sold items to CS and popping to see friend in blackheath so taking some expensive items that I've been trying to sell to the posher CS as they'll get more for them. Struggling with these as more expensive than anything I buy myself now - wouldn't be hard given its usually CS
Not sure where to start... which means I will delay but trying to hold myself to account by reporting in here and will update.
Hope everyone is staying as warm and dry as possible x18 -

- You should have seen the state of each of my rooms when I was decluttering and organising things. Looked like a complete & utter bomb site
black bags and piles of stuff everywhere
Your shared picture has inspired me to put things away in their rightful place in the artroom that have found their way to cluttering up the table, so thanks xxx

Firstly apologies for not posting yesterday 😉 Friday was the day for my birthday treat 😊 I was up at 09:45 to a dark overcast day which promised rain & boy did it deliver 😅 I had a long relaxing bath from 10:30 to 11:30 before drying off & getting dressed. DH & I left at 13:00 just as it started raining - bus, DLR, Tube & shanks’s pony to Royal Albert Hall. Whilst we were travelling mostly underground the rain became heavier & by the time we were on the last leg of journey it was sleeting 🥶 A far cry from last year round about the same time when it was dry & sunny 😉 We arrived very early 14:15 for doors opening at 14:45 😥 However RAH staff took pity on everyone & opened the doors early 🥳giving people plenty of time to settle in for the 15:30 start. Oh yes I suppose I should mention what we were there to see - Cirque du Soleil’s production of Corteo 😊 We were in an 8 person Loggia (i.e. box) to the side of the stage. It was all a bit odd as the stage was quite small & the audience was in front & behind the stage. The party of 4 in the box were seasoned Cirque du Soleil attendees having seen 6 or 7 different shows. The last two to turn up were first timers who left at intermission 😉 The show started exactly on time & whilst we enjoyed the skill & artistry of the performers we were not as engrossed as last year with the second part being more enjoyable than the first. It was still raining when we left the RAH but at least there was no sleet 😉 Took a different route home & were indoors at exactly 19:00. We dried off & warmed up then I made dinner - finished off the Bolognaise sauce with pasta shells. Wudupa. I fell asleep on the sofa whilst watching Silent Witness, woke up had a drink then fell asleep again before waking up at 05:30 (it was still raining) & heading to bed.
Saturday: I woke up 08:45 (dark & dreary) & am downstairs snuggled up in my fluffy dressing gown with my first cuppa. Will post this & be back later to catch up on the cheerleading. I hope everyone had as good a day as possible yesterday & a good night’s sleep last night 🤞

Good morning,
I think that I wrote a post yesterday but forgot to press "post" so it has disappeared into cyber space. On Thursday I decluttered a bag to the charity shop and bought a suitcase in the shop next door ready for my jolly holidays. It wasn't the cheapest case but the ones that cost less didn't look like they'd stand up to airport baggage handling. When I came home I had to clear and clean the tops of my wardrobes (well overdue) to fit the new case on top. I also decluttered 30 items during the cleaning but some were from a bedside table drawer. I still have some boxes to look through and either put the items away or donate them.
I did another pantry shelf yesterday which meant another 35 items were decluttered. They either went in a bag for my sister because I don't make many cakes nowadays or in the bin. There were flavoured essences that just kept being tidied when really they needed throwing out due to age - that sort of thing.
Today I'm hoping for a quiet day and I will mostly be decluttering some yarn to make myself a holiday shopping bag.
Take care all of you 😊13
