Good morning folks and thanks Mrs S_D for the cheerleading and the medal 😊
Another fine decluttering day on the horizon. Yesterday I only decluttered 5 things as I was out with the student for some of the day and didn't have time to do more. I went for a bimble round the shops while he did his 2 hour class. It was in the interests of decluttering some weight via step count not decluttering cash so I didn't spend anything. I enjoyed a good mooch round places that I don't normally go into. Another wash load was dealt with when we came home as well as the mini decluttering session.
@sqwiffy the best way to get the dressings for your mum is to ask the doctor to prescribe them and then you can have them at her house ready for the nurse. I once had a fall that ended with a haematoma and I did my own dressings at home once it had been dealt with surgically. I saw the practice nurse once a week to check on it and she never had any dressings either so I took one of the prescribed ones with me. I was allergic to the pressure bandages (polyester) that I should have had on my leg so in the end it was a combination of medical grade manuka honey (that one of the nurses had been given as a sample but I continued to use) and the correct dressings that fixed it.
I'm a list person too. I have ADHD and without a list I bounce from one job to another doing a bit of each but achieving nothing. I need the visual reminder of what I'm supposed to be working on.20 -
Hi all, Quick post as I have a union thing to deal with. It started yesterday when I got a whole string of messages from the staff where I used to work which I will have to continue sorting today 🤔. Before then a pair of socks into the rag bag, old toothbrush into the hard plastic bag . I met some friends for coffee and 3 items passed on then 😁.
@Vulpix, yes I was thinking of just turning the collar down and stitching it, will see what that looks like, will have a play when I get a chance 😁
Right off for another cuppa and back to the union thing 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one
193 socks

Take care everyone

I used to write a to-do list the night before on paper. Now I use Google tasks on my phone. I started using it when I was in Cornwall last year and I didn't have a paper and pen with me. I'm like Floss and have to break it down into smaller tasks.
Today's list is change the pillowcases on the bed, sort out boxes on top of the wardrobe, make up another clothes donation bag, I planned my breakfast and lunch to use up what is in the fridge, I'm want to dust the whole house (to put the dusting cloths in with the laundry) and my husband is going to vacuum. I want to start my book too and I need to pack my bag for the weekend. I find it very simple to do it this way.
I was going to do some exercise at home today, but I still feel very achy from the cranio-sacral therapy I had. I felt awful yesterday and had to have a 2 hour nap. It was weird as before that I had been out again looking for a jacket or coat in the charity shops to wear to the afternoon tea and I had done 8,500 steps and felt fine as it was quite a lovely sunny day yesterday. I suddenly felt utter exhaustion when I got home and sat down and had to go to bed. That is why my husband is going to have to do all the vacuuming as I'm still achy today.
This afternoon tea has been more hassle than it was worth considering it was meant to be a birthday treat, but I did find a brown jacket which isn't my favourite colour, but at least it is lightweight and doesn't look like it will crease in my bag. I did want to go up in a hot air balloon instead, but I saw on Reddit that a few people said they booked it but it kept being pushed back as the weather conditions weren't right.

Morning folks 👋🏼
Not a huge amount going on here.. mojo has left the building and abandoned me somewhat..
Main decluttered items yesterday were my OH’s broken tooth and the £268 payment for it 😱 they proceeded to say a possible root canal was needed and that starts from £650!!Not happening any time soon, where do they think people get the money from, it not a tree, that’s for sure..🙄
Anyhoo.. off to book B12 jab and try to find some umpff to get a few things done..
I dislike feeling this way, HRT patches messing with hormones & B12 levels.. 🤯🥵🥶🤨🫨

@MadamMim2013 I remember the flumps and am busy doing the theme tune to myself. Double ouch on the tooth.
My aim today is to do a little bit of a clear out in the inside workshop, I removed a lot sawdust earlier in the week but actually putting some of his tools away would make it easier to get round and identify things that need to go or that are useful. He hadn't done his weekly tidy when we lost him and I just haven't had the motivation to do it since. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is a bright sunny day but rather cold 🥶 Forecast high 8°C although only 5°C now but feels colder. DH is up & about as he has an appointment with the hygienist today. DH has just left 13:08
Liverpool_Anne, some great decluttering on Tuesday 👏 & presumably now that you have visited the podiatrist you have baby smooth feet 😉 Lovely cheerleading & some great tips for sqwiffy 😊
GrannyKate, yippee to the start of ‘project window replacement’ 🥳 Sorry to hear that Sox was not impressed at having his movement restricted especially as he has only just laid claim to ‘his territory’ 😉 Fingers crossed that the bungalow next door will soon have new owners 🤞
Florenceem, it sounds like MrF is improving daily both physically & mentally 🥹 I especially like that he delegated you to speak to the doctor 😉 Sending lots of positive thoughts for MrF’s continued recovery 🥹
Brie, good luck with your ‘mission’ 🍀 Sounds time consuming but hopefully with OH’s help all the admin & arrangements will be sorted in a timely fashion 😊
Thanks for the information about recycling old spectacles redofromstart 👏 The Boots opticians I use are still using Covid as an excuse Not to accept old glasses ☹️
basketcase, a bottomless jar of hugs 🤗 now why didn’t I think of that 😉 Sorry to hear that you have been feeling off-colour but hopefully you are starting to recover 🤞What a great cleaning regime 🥳 Excellent work not only with the cleaning, daily decluttering, dealing with frogs & managing a NSD as well 👏🤩
I am psyching myself up to go out 😉 Just put my shoes on, finishing my coffee & have a list of things to do whilst I am out 😉 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & that all our poorlies are on the mend 🙏 See you later 👋

Wednesday2000 - each evening I write a to do list. A trip in a hot air balloon would not be on my Birthday list.
I almost fell into bed last night - got to the point where I felt ill - I was that tired.
Wednesday is a busy day - I didn't go to singing group last night. My friend sent me an audio of the song we are singing on Sunday - the group members don't want to sing it but the leader is insisting. It sounds dreadful!
Up an hour earlier today then spent 48 minutes talking when my friend phoned. I dashed around to do my upkeep jobs and had to MW Mr F's cup of tea.
I finished packing my shopping trolley and bag - took donations to the charity shop.
I popped in the community shop - they were selling soft garlic flavoured cheese - instead of £2 - 40p so I got 2 for Mr F. A bag of radishes was 20p - we will have some with our tea of cheese and biscuits. I got a bus home to save walking up the hill.
Mr F has to drink 2 of the protein drinks per day - I have moved the boxes into the garage - they must have sent 56 - heavy to move.
A former neighbour phoned to ask how Mr F is doing. He is doing more for himself each day.
I will sort stuff out for tomorrow's trip into town - I popped in the £2 charity shop - woman said - she will accept my donations.
I am going to pop to SA this afternoon to see if there are dinners left in the fridge - which I can rescue.

I remember The Flumps.
I felt much better after having a shower and washing my hair for some reason. I did 5 minutes on my treadmill and 5 mins on my trampoline afterwards. I collected enough stuff for two more donation bags and my husband took them to the charity shop this afternoon so that is more out of the house.
I did everything on my list except starting my book as I wasn't in the mood. I did clean the living room windows too. I found a little bit of mould in each corner that has been dealt with.
I have done a lot of steps today, 10,500, considering I haven't been out of the house apart from to the shed! I'm now eating some Galaxy cookie choccie and having a glass of wine and watching Deal or no Deal. I only started watching this a few weeks ago.😁2025 GOALS

In between sleeping and dog cuddling I have managed to the following this week:
78-79 2 magazines out
80 sorted the 2 bins, glass recycling box, red and blue bag for other recycling and moved some small plant pots around…. Looks better which makes me feel better ☺️
