I think I'd have had difficulty working out where I as up to! Really effective pattern and use of yarn, and one to bear in mind for those of us who have (ahem!) a few surplus balls of yarn.

Because each panel is a different stitch and colour it made it easier to follow. Also all short ends you add 12 stitches ( 2 stitches per row). It was easier than I thought it would be. Saying that I did watch all the Toft videos which accompany the pattern.

Lovely blanket @Gem-gem.  Am I correct in thinking that you crocheted the central block, then did a side panel in one colour which was slightly longer than the original square. When that was finished, you did the next panel, starting at the “leg”, and kept wrapping the panels around like that?  Very clever.

The first side panel should be the same length as the block. Then you rotate it clockwise and the next panel is the block plus the length of the side panel. Once you have completed a row all the way round and you start the next row you start on the opposite side that you finished on. Hope that makes sense. If you go on u tube and google Toft Roaming sampler blanket there are a series of videos that explain. 

My bobbles appear slightly longer - first time doing them 😊 A great way to learn and practise new stitches.

I bought myself a new anorak for £19 at Go Outdoors, so 11 coupons to declare.
I think I'm going to run out of coupons for Christmas presents 😥

well G00dw00d Revival tickets go on sale to general public on Monday.  I think I will book and then tell the OH.

Hat wise I have found a lovely vintage knitting pattern so will have a go in the New Year

Had I bought a hat it would have been coupon free, but subject to Purchase Tax.  I've been reading up on this - I didn't know that the Purchase Tax was the fore runner to VAT.

Ooohhhh..... G00dw00d!  I hope you have a lovely time @alicef.  Do tell us all about it please, after your visit.

I've been procrastaknitting for several months - knitting socks instead of working on what needs to be done - and, as a result, I've decided to set myself a Challenge for the rest of the year is to finish off/rework the various knitted items that are lurking around here.  That includes reworking a collar which finished up too tight, sewing the sleeves onto a jumper and adding a button (seriously, I've done all the hard stuff), and removing the collar and sleeves of another jumper, adding two inches to the body and redoing the collar/sewing on the sleeves (sound harder than it is).

My Challenge for 2026 will be to knit - and finish - 4 cardigans, since they are the most useful garment for layering.  

- Pip (having a frustrating day.  I'd much rather be knitting than working.)
