How would your NHS number verify your ID? Do non-NHS organisations have access to it?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

4%?, well that's a pathetic rate, I wouldn't be that bothered tbh, pretty sure you can get a better edge saver rate anyway.

Edge Explorer is a new account as far as I'm aware.

Do you have a standard Edge Current account?

    How have they warned you?

You had me worried there. The NHS could get into a lot of trouble for that.
They won't be using your NI number to verify your ID, as they won't have access to that database either (not yet, anyway...). The NI number will be so they can tell HMRC how much interest they're paying you

daz378 - I find it strange that Santander would try to coerce you into opening an Edge Explorer Current account which costs £17 (not £18).
You have an Edge Current account which qualifies you to have an Edge saver currently paying 6%. The fact that your Edge saver pays 4% suggest that your 12 month bonus has ended. Did you know you can close your Edge saver via Sandi after having first reduced your balance to zero. You request any outstanding interest to be paid to your Edge current account. They take 2 working days  to remove it and then you can open a new Edge saver @6% which has another 12 months bonus to run and fund it up to £4000.

    Isn't the edge saver 6%?
