4%?, well that's a pathetic rate, I wouldn't be that bothered tbh, pretty sure you can get a better edge saver rate anyway.daz378 said:Santander have warned me may lose my 4% edge saver...unless I upgrade to edge saver explorer current account cost of 18 pound monthly you do get benefits dont think it worth it though
Edge Explorer is a new account as far as I'm aware.
Do you have a standard Edge Current account?
How have they warned you?0 -
You had me worried there. The NHS could get into a lot of trouble for that.daz378 said:Sorry national insurance number...yes edge current account...will try to set up a few more regular savers
They won't be using your NI number to verify your ID, as they won't have access to that database either (not yet, anyway...). The NI number will be so they can tell HMRC how much interest they're paying youI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
daz378 - I find it strange that Santander would try to coerce you into opening an Edge Explorer Current account which costs £17 (not £18).
You have an Edge Current account which qualifies you to have an Edge saver currently paying 6%. The fact that your Edge saver pays 4% suggest that your 12 month bonus has ended. Did you know you can close your Edge saver via Sandi after having first reduced your balance to zero. You request any outstanding interest to be paid to your Edge current account. They take 2 working days to remove it and then you can open a new Edge saver @6% which has another 12 months bonus to run and fund it up to £4000.3 -
Isn't the edge saver 6%?Slinky said:daz378 said:Santander have warned me may lose my 4% edge saver...unless I upgrade to edge saver explorer current account cost of 18 pound monthly you do get benefits dont think it worth it though
Oooerr! Do you have anything like the 123 account as well as your Edge accounts?0 -
Usual drill:
I've done a cull of the recent additions list. The following accounts were added between 15/9/25 and 30/9/25 and remain available.
Chorley BS Home Saver at 4.25% ~~~ Launched 24/9/25
Manchester BS Regular Saver Issue 1 at 5.5% ~~~ Launched 17/9/25 (first noted 22/9/25)6 -
Been quiet on the RS front recently. Nothing great being released...2

Eh? We've had Manchester BS, Beverley BS, Scottish BS all launching good RSs recently. Also the 3 Monmouthshire's not that long ago. And the ongoing activity with Principality. Personally I need a breather from all the excitementtopyam said:Been quiet on the RS front recently. Nothing great being released...1 -
