     YBS must certainly know that they aren't going to raise much with such a poor offering.
    You mean you don't want to celebrate Savings Week with a mediocre regular saver?  :D

    BOE Base Rate has been held at 4%.

    I shall do my final update of regular saver interest rate cuts since the previous cut later today.
    Any thoughts on whether we will see any improvement in interest rates offered?
    Am i silly hoping I will see some decent RS approaching Savers Week? The likes of 7% plus..?

    @janusd, personally I’d try funding it with a minimum payment to start with, if it doesn’t bounce back the next day and appears in the app you should be good to go with funding it fully. If it bounces back you know you can’t fund it and no harm done. My husband’s second R/S Issue 8, which we didn’t realise had been opened at around beginning August, as unable to access the app until recently, has now been fully funded for this month by making a minimum payment of £5 and a further £495 the following day and didn’t bounce back.
    @RosieRooBear - many thanks for the push on doing this... the £50 I deposited yesterday appeared in the app this morning, so another £950 has been sent today.

    Similar to you a number of years back and before my regular saver days, I popped into a Principality branch to open a plain vanilla account. There were just two ladies whispering to a cashier in the corner of the counter and me standing in the foyer. After a while one of the assistants came over and I asked to open an account. She said “Have you an appointment”, I said I hadn’t and she said, “ You have to have an appointment to open an account”, and I said you don’t seem busy. She just repeated the line and went back to her conversation. I walked out and made a complaint. Never heard anything more!

    If there's cash around in my experience banks and BS' require at least two people to keep an eye on it and each other so I'm not surprised they were unwilling to help.
