I popped into a YBS branch with the intention to apply for the £50 branch saver. The place was deserted, just two staff manning the counters. I was told the next appointment for applying for this account was at 13:00 today. I left without the account and won’t be going back for it.6

BOE Base Rate has been held at 4%.
I shall do my final update of regular saver interest rate cuts since the previous cut later today.13 -

Each of my phantom accounts had been ones that had been opened but never funded for whatever reason.
I've done a spot of experimenting and there may be a way of getting rid of the phantom accounts from the app. I simply sent £1 to each of the phantom accounts on Saturday, the £1s bounced back and landed in my current account yesterday.
I've just checked the app and the accounts have now disappeared so I'm just left with the open accounts only showing in the app.
It could also be a complete coincidence but I thought I'd mention it anyhow just in case it works for anyone else.1 -
