The interest rate is absolutely awful but perhaps worth opening and funding with £10 per month for the draw.
They could perhaps offer better rates if they economised on postage. I've had eight letters from them today, all about recent activity.
    I had 14 last week!

Wow! What is meant by recent activity? Just statements or something different to normal?

I thought mine was excessive with three. If they must send them by post, they could at least put them in the same envelope.

The Coventry Sunny Day Saver seems a bit of a no brainer to me. Easy to open, chance of a prize and get all your money back next year. I've opened it with £10 & set up a standing order for £10 a month from October. Now I'll just forget about it until it matures in a year's time, unless I hear I've won a prize. 😁😁

    Coventry BS

I got closure statement and certificate of interest paid (for the same account) in separate mailings. I assume they are produced by different persons/teams and it's cheaper to pay two lots of postage than to attempt to bring them together as one.

As did I, also a letter for sending the proceeds to another account with them that I hadn't paid into for a while.

Moneyfacts showing Yorkshire BS £50 Regular Saver @ 8%. Not currently showing on YBS.co.uk

Previously indicated by @Bridlington1 although iirc the rate was unknown at the time.

Moneyfacts indicating opening only in branch or by post! Seems a bit backward for YBS.
