    Saffron

Just had an email from Saffron - which initially looked a bit scammy - that included a "Refer a Friend link" I've been invited to send to an eligible friend to eventually get a £15 book token.

Of note, the email clearly states "Your friend must be a new saffron customer to be eligible to open the account. Existing members do not qualify."  (T&C's apply)

[Edit for clarity:  Posted to highlight the (now) clear eligibility requirements for the account, not seeking anyone to refer.]
After applying for the Saffron 8% RS without the refer a friend bunk, Saffron stated they didn't have my phone number or email addy, which I know they have because I have another account with them and it was also included in the application - I didn't bother faffing about to chase it up! Today I receive both an email  & phone call from Saffron and they were only too happy to open the 8% RS as an existing customer without the refer a friend bunk. Opened and funded witin 2 minutes.
Do you know whether they gave you the 'Refer a Friend Saver' or the 'Member's Month Loyalty Saver'? I'm struggling to understand what is meant by 'without the refer a friend bunk' - whether this means it was the one that didn't require referrals, or whether they waived the referral requirement.
My application was with the original  'Refer a Friend Saver' which couldn't be opened due to Saffron apparently not having my contact details, when they had. I didn't bother chasing it up and left it. I recevined an email a couple of days ago followed by a same day phone call to say they were happy to open an account for me, which they did & was funded within 2 minutes. Today I received an email to say I could still refer a friend to receive a £15 book voucher, but it wasn't obligatory to having & holding the 8% RS account.

My First Direct RS matures tomorrow (Sunday 22nd) but has disappeared completely today (Saturday 21st) so looks like maturity process has begun. Guessing I’ll see the funds early next week?

    That's right.

You should also be able to apply for your next one now, should you want one.

If you left the old savings account open that it matured into last year the money should be there tomorrow.

Just a note of caution for those withdrawing and replacing funds from these accounts within a calendar month - (there've been posts on this thread about it being tolerated despite being against the accounts' terms).

I had £5000 in both these accounts. During the month of May, I withdrew £4999 from both accounts, leaving a £1 balance with the intention of replacing the funds before the end of the month.

For the NatWest account, I repaid the £4999 on Friday 30th May - and that was accepted.
For the RBS account, I repaid £4600 on Friday 30th May and £399 on Saturday 31st May.

The final £399 payment, because it was paid on the weekend, has been counted as a June payment and for some reason this has caused the account to reject all payments paid into the account in BOTH May and June, and I've had the balance reduced to £151 + beginning of June interest.
Similar story here, i had a DRS overfund taken from my RBS saver in may, reducing my balance by nearly £1400, so caution with RBS.

Can a 13th payment be sent to Progressive BS Rainy Day RS?  I have a balance of £3600 and it matures 13th July.

I find it useful to download a copy of the T&Cs whenever I open a new account
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I find it useful to try anyway because you never know, and worst case the payment is returned within 1-2 days.

By those, I would say yes - but don't know what their systems will do in practice.
The maximum of £3,600 is PCY, and it's only June, so OP still has allowance for July if they adhered to the £300 PCM
