Perhaps that's what Barclays told Gatehouse, too...exel1966 said:gt94sss2 said:

I'm always paranoid that the transfer from, whatever EA I have my float in, works for stacks and stacks of RS have set up for the 1st of each month.
I tend to transfer it (to the C/A) where the s.os are taken on the second to last working of the month.
What Barclays/Gatehouse hold up is this you're referring to ?where_are_we said:It is not a good time for the Barclay/Gatehouse payment holdup. I did a 5 figure withdrawal from Gatehouse this morning to fund a multitide of RS`s at beginning of February. Still not arrived yet. Let`s hope it gets resolved quickly.
Gatehouse use Barclays to process payments hence are also affected.
Thanks,
Oh !!!!!!!
Just checked and my funds I requested at 0100 this morning have still not arrived with Chase ready to pay 25 S/O between 0100-0300 tomorrow !!!
I even rang Gatehouse at 1400 to ask where my funds were as they always arrive with Chase between 1130-1200. I was assured there were no hold ups and was told they'd be there by 5pm !

I've made a withdrawal this morning too, but this delay won't affect my RS distributions tomorrow. I didn't want to rely on timely delivery from Gatehouse so I have filled all of my 5% Cahoots in advance. Today's withdrawal was meant to be transferred to 4.75% Cahoots in order to refill 5%-ers after the RS distribution.where_are_we said:It is not a good time for the Barclay/Gatehouse payment holdup. The day is not over yet, there's still a chance that we'll receive our money today, you never know.0 -
I withdrew £10K from Gatehouse at 2pm yesterday. It was due to arrive in Santander today......it hasn't arrived.
Gatehouse have a warning header on their website advising delays to withdrawals & deposits. Could be Monday before it's fixed.....I don't think Gatehouse work weekends.0 -

I'll consider myself lucky that I did a future-dated withdrawal yesterday, given the rate drop of the regular saver maturity account. Arrived before all of these problems thankfully. I would have had a backup option anyway, but not without some inconvenience.subjecttocontract said:I withdrew £10K from Gatehouse at 2pm yesterday. Do Chase process standing orders on a Saturday? All my standing orders go out via Santander and they are all due to go out on Monday.0

Yes. Both Chase and Monzo don't follow standard banking practice and send "standing orders" on non working days.Speculator said:Do Chase process standing orders on a Saturday? All my standing orders go out via Santander and they are all due to go out on Monday.2 -

ooh nice, wonder if they would be more aware of the paypal 1p trick now or not, potentially a way to get a decent amount in quickly

I have in excess of 30 regular savers and the majority of them mature in the latter part of the year. I would like to try to refresh some of them, so that they are more evenly spread throughout the year.
To save me going through all the T&C's, could anyone please advise what ones can be closed and then re-opened without penalty,1
