To be fair issue 1 fell to 4.75% fairly recently so I'd've said Issue 2 at 6% was more of an outlier.GetRichOrDieSaving said:
Wow. Big drop there! Glad I go on the issue 2 and just goes to show you have to take what you can get at the time.Bridlington1 said:Darlington BS 12 Month Regular Saver Issue 2 at 6% NLA.
Replaced by Darlington BS 12 Month Regular Saver Issue 3 at 4.75%.
Other details appear to remain the same.
Worth noting Darlington BS allow you to have one of each issue so this latest issue can be held alongside the previous two issues if you so wish.5 -

I hope this is not going to follow by reduction of Issue 2 rate. 1 -
Yes, I opened Issue 1 instead of 2 by mistake. I contacted them and was told you can have oneBridlington1 said:

Institutions that allow you to have multiple regular saver accounts at the same time: Principality, Suffolk, Darlington, Monmouthshire, Newcastle (and therefore in the future Manchester?) and Nottingham generally allow one of each issue (but future issues might have different rules).
Yorkshire BS allows you to have multiple regular savers of different types, Loyalty, normal, 50 pound, Christmas.Market Harborough BS - Customers may only have a maximum of two Limited Edition Regular Saver accounts open at a time, either solely or jointly, with a combined maximum deposit of £300 (previously 250?) per month not exceeding the maximum balance of £4,500.00. Lloyds have 2 different regular savers, Club and regular, and you can have one of each. Cooperative also says that you can only open the account if you don't already have one of the same issue, however it is still on issue 1. You can have an RBS Digital Regular Saver as well as a NatWest one.
I have a Leeds regular saver, and home saver (not sure if that counts).
In case anyone is interested the above are notes I have taken from these forums, and from trial and error! I have multiples of all these regular savers, except Market Harborough BS Fixed Term Regular Saver as it went (or always was) Branch only.17 -
I won't be particularly bothered if they do, given that Monmouthshire Exclusive matures in the same month and pays more. I'll probably end up dumping some of it in an ISA even then.allegro120 said:

I opened the Cashminder account (due to no hard credit check) purely to get their RS. Don't use the Cashminder at all. It sits at £0 all the time except for few seconds on the 1st of every month when it gets £250 paid into it and then quickly transferred out directly to the RS. Don't know why I do it that way - force of habit I guess. You can fund the RS directly from an external account totally circumnavigating your Coop current account.SH88SH88 said:Is the Coop Bank OK (in general) ? ... thinking specifically about the RS, but also the current account (as the current a/c seems mandatory for the RS) .2 -
I opened their basic current account (Cashminder) in order to qualify for their RS. I didn't want a hard credit check, this was just a soft search. Something to bear in mind if you've got a credit application in the pipeline.SH88SH88 said:Is the Coop Bank OK (in general) ? ... thinking specifically about the RS, but also the current account (as the current a/c seems mandatory for the RS) .3 -

Turns out I now have a second login id. Maybe I used different security questions or nominated accounts as there is a message to validate 🙄bristolleedsfan said:Newcastle BS - two profiles- I sent secure message asking for profiles to be merged, reply told me to phone and they be happy to help.
😈 does this open the door to a second account…..Newcastle BS:Ditto...I have sent a secure message asking the profiles to be merged but I won't bother if they say I need to phone them.Update...Secure message reply to my secure message, informing me that the profiles will be merged within 5-7 working days. Also, email confirming my deposit receipt.1 -
Don't think it's regarded as second class simply be a surprise for call handler as the account was supposed to only be opened in branch. Unfortunately this is when loopholes get discovered and closed because someone tells a call handler what they did to get round the T&C and call handler then escalates it!castle96 said:the Monmouth branch appearsto be regarded as 2nd class per my call. "HOW did you get this account if you didnt go into the Branch"2
