The Forum Team have been inundated with a huge number of reports/complaints from multiple users about this thread going off topic (specifically, about an Edge account).
If it was simply one or two posts we wouldn't necessarily intervene, but given the scale of the issue the team will be splitting out any posts that refer to the Edge account and moving them to The New Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area, as well as removing any posts that breach the rules on unfriendly behaviour.
I'd like to encourage all Forumites to try and stay on topic, or at least avoid veering off track too much. Please also try to refrain from long arguments about staying on topic, which then escalate the matter. This is a valuable, large and popular thread, and surgically extracting numerous off topic posts to keep it a useful discussion is a significant draw on the team's resources which could have been easily avoided.

During the application process, as a new customer, did you go through the entire security set up? i.e., password setup & memorable info set up?
Did you put them same as your existing account information?
Im worried, if they mess up & not merge the online accounts, I will lose access to my NCL a/c (opened for loyalty) & 5.25% Reg saver3 -

Just applied as a new customer and it took just a couple of minutes to verify me and my nominated account. This is the e mail I just received confirming my application reference number.

You have to go through it but as I have numerous passwords and memorial information stored I didn't look these up but put in different information to whatever is in my 'home' Newcastle registration. I did keep the same as my account for all other sections, including nominated account though and it was automatically added in the background to my existing account without any other input.ChewyyBacca said:3 -

The former is not linked anywhere to from elsewhere on the site or appears to be indexed in google etc. Presumably is the direct QR landing page. The later is linked to elsewhere on the site.
