I currently  have a easy access account with them with £1 in it.
The intention  was to build up the loyalty  so l could open the member RS in the future but at the moment my spare cash is tied up in other accounts.
I could open this one now by the looks of it.
Would anyone bother sticking £20 in per month  just for the hell of it?

I was in a similar boat. I had planned to open a different RS within the next week or so, but decided to prioritise this one as it is a higher rate (even after the 0.25% drop I've got priced in for a couple of weeks time) and I'd had the £1 sitting in the easy access account for quite a while hoping for a loyalty account to come along. So snapped it up today and funded it.

If I couldn't have funded, I think I'd be content to wait a while. Unlikely this will be pulled after a short time.

I would stick in as much as I can.  The interest rate is great and when it starts dropping in line with base rates it will be still very desirable.  
I think it is an innovative product, I can't remember seeing RS trackers before.  
I can't apply because I already have the previous 7% issue, otherwise I would.

Unless that £20 could be earning more elsewhere than the Skipton account pays then yes I would.

It's worth noting that with Skipton they begin the account term from the day of first deposit rather than the day you apply for the account (one of a minority of providers to do this) so for those applying this is an account I'd be inclined to open ASAP to be honest even if you intend to delay funding till the end of the month.

Alternatively you could open/fund the account now and then ``refresh" at the end of the month.

Skipton Member RS Issue 4 @6.75% variable. My Skipton Member RS Issue 3 @7% fixed matures in late May so I can`t apply for Issue 4. As Masonic comments Issue 4 @6.75% is unlikely to be withdrawn any time soon especially because the interest rate is variable. I will keep my Issue 3 @7% fixed until maturity and probably open Issue 4 then. I see no advantage in closing my 7% fixed Issue 3 early, opening Issue 4@6.75% variable and accepting a lower return.

They've been performing maintenance at this time of the day without notice for months, possibly years to my knowledge so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Ahh the advantage of having a poopy easy access account with minimum deposit & having it a year or whatever.

Definitely going to apply for this, hopefully the rate won't drop too much.

Got several accounts ending in March/April but could fund a new account earlier out of NatWest or RBS Digital funds.

Going to have to take some money out of those anyways to cover February deposits.

Can I fund at end of a month then start of next month or am I tied to the date like I am with my Coventry Loyalty?
