I’ve set up a Branch Exclusive Regular Saver with the Monmouthshire.

I now have the account number in the app. It’s a 10 digit number but it ends in an X. Is that normal?

I want to transfer some funds before the month ends but I also want to be certain that the details are correct!
X is part of the account number.
This. Exclusive accounts started ending in X in 2024 - Exclusive Issue 2 and App Exclusive Issue 1 both have for me. I don’t have the branch version.

App Exclusive Issue 1 ending in X returned a COP match after 24 hours. As Monmouthshire begin the account term from the date of initial funding, waiting for a COP match and then funding is the obvious solution.

FWIW, all of my Mon BS accounts, inc. this year's 'Regular Saver Issue 8', 'Branch Exclusive Regular Saver Issue 1' and 'App Exclusive Regular Saver Issue 1', are numeric only.

What usually happens to the Everyday Saver when the Halifax RS matures?

I received a letter from them at the weekend saying that the Everyday Saver ends its term on 1st December (obviously same day as the RS) and gave 3 options - a) renew for another 12 months; b) transfer balance (currently zero); c) close the account or if I do nothing, it converts to an Instant Saver on the 2nd December.

Their Regular Saver page makes no mention of the Everyday Saver converting to an Instant Saver after 12 months. I know the RS itself automatically renews at maturity, i'm just trying to figure out what the usual next step is with regards to the Everyday Saver - if it converts to an Instant Saver, will they then open another Everyday Saver when the RS renews - or should I just renew the Everyday Saver now (or closer to maturity)?

Same here, perhaps they have stopped using X, all my correspondence mentions a savings account number.

Yes! Include the X to complete the full account number  ;)

And the same goes for me and all have had payments made with no issues.

West Brom RS 7 maturity details received today. No decent replacement RS, just a RS account at 2.35%. Disappointing.
The West Brom have made their Fixed Rate Regular Saver one that only can be opened in branch, rather than online, seems to be a bit of a backward step to me.  https://www.westbrom.co.uk/savings/regular-savers/fixed-rate-regular-saver-issue-7

Rate currently 6% and their branches are in the Birmingham and Black Country area, but they've not had one in Birmingham City Centre for a while.
Looks like a day trip to Shrewsbury - does anyone think that they might want an appointment made??? Might give them a ring

I tried to open this RS on the previous occasion it was in branch only ~18 months ago. It was by appointment only at Shrewsbury and they weren’t offering slots on Saturdays

    Co-Operative RS

So I have now got the CA opened. And have applied for their RS and been approved for that. More waiting now for it to appear on the app or online. How long does that take?

My Monmouth Branch Exc' reg saver doesn't end in an X......It's just a 10 digit numeric. Suggest you just use the 10 digit number you have as the reference, leaving the X off. Try it with £1 to test it.

Don't do this :) the X is part of the number.
    X isn't a number, it's a letter. The OP said they had a 10 digit number.
is a number - in base 11 - which this probably is, and any higher bases.
It's also a number in roman numerals.
