Yes. When I clicked on their link about how to fund the new (Manchester) account it sent me to a page on the Newcastly Building Society website.shirley999 said:The Newcastle Building Society then! (T/a Manchester Building Society)

Just tried to log in using my NBS credentials and didn't recognise them.
So, is this a standalone institution even if you have Newcastle products?1 -
I can’t seem to see anything in Manchester BS RS terms that says you can’t apply if you already have one with Newcastle BS… £500/month and withdrawals are allowed, I’m definitely interested.0

https://manchester.co.uk/savings/product/manchester-regular-saver-issue-1also, after the initial £1 min funding, you don't need to make a monthly deposit.there does seem to be an error in the welcome pack pdf attachment where it gives their account number as "0000001" - so just 7 characters - my bank throw a wobbly at that, so added a leading 0, but then it fails CoP... i've sent them a message and will try again with the leading zero tomorrow when CoP should be valid.2 -

It's a mistake. The account number should be: 00000001 as confirmed under the "How do I fund my account?" on https://manchester.co.uk/help-and-support/savings/savings-faqclivep said:DealSeeker11 said:I can’t seem to see anything in Manchester BS RS terms that says you can’t apply if you already have one with Newcastle BS… £500/month and withdrawals are allowed, I’m definitely interested.Manchester BS RS...I just opened one (I already have one with Newcastle). Easy enough but a bit of a pain that deposits can only come from the linked a/c (unlike Newcastle's).Secure message says to send funds to:Account Number: 0000001
Sort code: 23-02-95Reference: *******Very strange to have a 7 digit a/c no and a 7 digit reference number!
Similarly, the email confirmation of a deposit incorrectly states "You can make unlimited deposits up to £250, each calendar month".Manchester BS RS...Thanks for that, I was just about to investigate further.I note the FAQ also says "Your account number is a 13-digit account number which can be found in your welcome letter or by logging into your account online. Please ensure that your account number is entered exactly as shown including any uppercase letters".The full a/c. no. in the welcome letter is of the format XXX 9999999 XXX which is alphanumeric and 15 characters if you include the spaces as they have! Without the spaces it's still not numeric. Furthermore, the illustration shows entering only the 7 digits for the reference no.

can confirm that with the additional 0 in the account number, and the 7 digit reference number, the account is now passing CoP.gt94sss2 said:

The new Manchester BS has been mentioned on the Companies without savings apps thread, but I don't think anyone haa mentioned a regular saver yet, interesting rate & deposit limits, 24 months though.cosh25 said:Not sure if its been noted, but the ‘new’ Manchester Building Society has relaunched. They are offering a regular saver 5.50% for 24 months. There's clearly better accounts around though.0
