I thought I'd opened an account on the app yesterday, but not convinced now that I actually did.

Yes, exactly the same. I have again tried re-installing tha app but it just goes to the 'We are undergoing system maintenance' message

I got one. The delay was minimal.

Yes I did, and an in-app message with the same information (which I screenshotted).

Did you get your account (reference) number? You could try setting up a payee, CoP should be up to date.

I took a screenshot of the confirmation page, and also got an email with the details 1 minute later

MBS app back up and running and without the usual 2fa faff, and got an account for me and the missus. Incredibly quick application process.
