This list shall be updated until the next BOE base rate decision on 5th February 2026.
A link to this post shall included on the first page of The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT*** thread in the Regular Saver Interest Rate Changes Announced As A Result Of BOE Base Rate Changes: section for future reference as per usual.23 -
Thanks - much more thorough than my list! Quite a few still to be announced, I'm anticipating a few more cuts to come.2

We're still only 6 days in to be fair. But for those trying to avoid all things festive, the regular savers election night coverage has only just begun and shall continue to run into 2026.clairec666 said:Thanks - much more thorough than my list! Of those yet to declare, possible ones to watch would be:
Kent Reliance and Melton BS have yet to cut any of their regular savers to my knowledge since the BOE Base Rate was at 5.25% so if they hold again this time that'll be 6 consecutive interest rate cuts they've held their rates and would cement their status as ``safe seats".
For a big name many shall be watching Nationwide who are also yet to cut their Flex Regular Saver interest rates so issues 4 onwards have remained at 6.5% thus far. This'll be of particular concern for those holding the account in case of a possible fairer share payment next year.
Bath BS have made cuts on each occasion so may be vulnerable to further cuts.
Monmouthshire BS have also been vulnerable to cuts in the past, often sharper than others so it'll be interesting to see what the swing shall be this time round in relation to the 0.25% cut to the base rate.
Last year YBS's £50 RS bucked the trend and held its 8% rate till maturity despite cuts elsewhere among YBS's regular savers, will this year's 50 Pound RS at 6% be as fortunate?
One that's likely slipped under the radar of many is that GB Bank entered the regular savers market earlier this year at 4%, they held last time but have recently gone NLA. How they act may be worth observing in case they re-enter the market at a higher rate in the future.
Of course the above could prove to be a complete and utter load of nonsense.6 -
Swingometers at the ready!
But instead of a swing between blue and red, I like to look at the swing between ISAs and regular savers. As my regular saver collection has built up to the point where I'm taxed on my interest, I need to weigh up the interest rate after tax vs what I can get in an ISA.
Sometimes ISA rates seem more competitive, and sometimes it swings in favour of more regular savers.
ISA rates have dropped off quite a bit recently, and regular savers are (thus far) not falling quite as much.
It's the "marginal seats" that are of most interest - the accounts from 5-5.5%.5 -

Have they indicated whether the Regular Saver (5%) will decrease? I did not qualify for the loyalty one. I'm yet to receive any post today so don't know if the letters only mention the accounts you hold or whether they mention all the affected accounts.
The Festive Saver did not go on sale until the 19th so I assume it is unaffected.

Much appreciated, so much time on my hands over the next few weeks! I’ve already set up my projection and budget for 2026. Also checked that I can pull funds out of various regular savers late March so I make sure I use my full ISA allowance otherwise the tax bill next year will be larger!Bridlington1 said:

I asked this when I called in and opened the branch version, I already had the online one, advisor and branch was very busy I have to admit. No "current plans" to change the rates. She read through " so many emails I've had this morning" and also described the online version as "withdrawn" rather than paused or suspended etc.gt94sss2 said:

Having successfully opened and funded the online version on the day it launched last week, I wasn't going to bother with the branch/postal version. However, having had a spare hour this afternoon and with the helpful post earlier today providing a freepost address for Dudley, I decided to print out the application form and fill it out along with a cheque in my favour for £250 as the initial deposit. The envelope won't be collected by Royal Mail until Saturday (if even then) so I won't post it until Friday. Hopefully I won't be too late but I won't be too upset if I am.
Thanks for all the helpful posts on this topic.1 -
In consideration that both the Festive RS were available the day after the interest rate cut, I would assume that the rate cut had been factored in the 5.5% rate offered on the Festive RS - which is probably why the online FRS version was pulled so fast! There's no message in my Dudley account or info in the Dudley Festive RS letter I received today dated 22nd December to say there will be any interest rate cut on the FRS.Bridlington1 said:

They wouldn't be the first to do this, Progressive BS's website didn't update till the cuts came into effect the last few times, I've had to phone them to get advanced notice of cuts to their rates in the past. Their phone lines are shut till 30th though so unless they've sent out letters I shan't have any info till at least then.Hattie627 said:

Thanks for all the helpful posts on this topic.I've done the same except I sent my postal application on Friday 19th December and still have't heard anything from Dudley regarding my postal application or had my cheque cashed. Others seemed to have had their postal application accepted quicker with their FRS opened within a few days, so it'll either be opened or not. I also expect that Dudley have been inundated with postal applications based upon their systems inability to cope with the number of online applications in a single day before it was pulled. As a side note: I received the usual set of Principality account maturity options on the 23rd december which I asked to be reinvested into another 2026 Christmas saver @ 6.5% and I've now received the bog standard 'you can only have one account as per our T&C's' rejection message.
