Just a small update. Have achieved a few goals a bit earlier than expected - happy about that. Hoping to concentrate on decluttering the upstairs landing to gain some floor space and also the airing cupboard next to it at the same time. Also have to deal with the downstairs sideboard as I need to put stuff away in it. Hope everyone is doing okay, have a great weekend all xx

@tinkerbelluk thanks  I’ve found having an actual list means I’ve stuck at i this time. I know I did pick some more challenging tasks as I wanted to push myself to get out of my comfort zone this year and as such some areas are definitely easier than others but weirdly I’ve noticed it’s ones that should be quite easy to achieve I’m actually struggling with most.

you’re doing amazing considering you are in the process of renovating

@mandco I agree completely, some of mine I knew I'd not even get close to the target, but even if I did 1 or 2 towards it, it was better than nothing if that makes sense.

Also I'm totally with you with the ones that should be quite easy to achieve being the hardest. For me it's the ones that I need to do something for myself, like the journal one and the walking. Should be so easy to do, but I don't know what it is that's stopping me!

@tinkererbelluk exactly it’s the ones that are for me I'm struggling with most - making time for myself has always been something I find hard to do it as it feels like there’s 101 other things that need doing more.

  • Hello, I'm so pleased to see so many people still doing this challenge. Unfortunately my wonderful DH became really ill in June and passed away. I am utterly devastated. I know he would want me to try and live my best life so I'm going to try hard to do just that. I loved doing this challenge and will pick it up here and try to complete it. I've changed a couple of goals that I don't want to do any more...

    1. Read 25 books (3/25)
    2. Make 25 crafts (3/25)
    3. Explore 25 villages / towns / cities I've never been to (4/25)
    4. ORIGINAL - Go to Slimming World 25 times / CHANGED TO - Eat 25 different cakes (bit of a difference there!) (0/25)
    5. Walk 2025km (1261.4km / 2025km)
    6. Buy 25 gift cards for Christmas (24/25)
    7. ORIGINAL - Save £2025 / CHANGED TO - Send 25 cards / gifts to others (10/25)
    8. Try 25 new recipes (8/25)
    9. Lose 25lbs (8.5/25)
    10. Create 25 (positive!) habits (3/25)
    11. 25 experiences / outings with DH / I'm not going to change this and will leave it unfinished until the end of the year (6/25)
    12. 25 new experiences / outings / activities with kids from work (13/25)
    13. 25 hours Continuous Professional Learning (7.5/25)
    14. Try 25 new restaurants / cafes (16/25)
    15. 25 solo days out (9/25)
    16. Post 2025 photos on Instagram (320/2025)
    17. Watch 25 movies I've never seen before (16/25)
    18. Tick 25 things off my master to do list (4/25)
    19. Listen to 25 audiobooks (10/25)
    20. Walk along 25 different beaches (6/25)
    21. Be able to run for 25 minutes (2/25)
    22. Tick 25 things off my bucket list (6/25)
    23. Try 25 foods I've never had before (13/25)
    24. Watch 25 documentaries (8/25)
    25. Save 25 of each coin / note (£1 to £20) (11/£1, 10/£2, 9/£5, 7/£10, 9/£20)

I'll be back on Sunday with my update between now and then. Afterwards I'll start updated again every Sunday and the last day of the month. I probably won't complete many of the goals but it's good to have something to work towards.

    Hope everyone is doing well
