Today is a more chilled day, I didn't get any of the chores done mostly because lodger was in, but I did visit MD and I did put on lunch & Dinner for myself and lodger. My SA Lodger is now quite partial to my apple crumble, I made him some more today! I am up to 6/19 No spend days, I have taken some money out of the cash pot to pay a monthly bill for Top Up which is essential so I have still counted today as No spend as I didn't buy anything. Therefore my cash pot is £75.95 which is 25%. Prolific stands at £4.46/£26.11 pending, so not quite able to add to the pot today sadly. Wishing all who come by a good end to the weekendXX

Today I have spent cash, rather impulsively but also as a necessity, I have ordered new clothing, 2 tunics, which I should be able to wear four days of the week providing I look after them ready for the summer with a splash of colour. I spent £66.70, MD says I spent too much however I went to my usual place because I like the clothing, it is colourful and cheers me up and more importantly it is reasonably smart and comfortable for someone so big as me! If I got something cheaper it would likely not last as long and not have any positive attributes that I would be happy with. I do need more which I will save for but for the time being I will manage with what I now have. I guess it would be good to go through clothes storage and see what is there, I meant to do this. However I feel new things are good to add, as they wear down and are generally needed. Sorry I feel quite strongly that wearing smarter and colourful things not only improves my mental outlook but makes me more presentable and happier in my own flesh and job ready...on that note...
Tomorrow I have a phone interview for a part time role, tbh I am getting quietly used to not working, I enjoy the freedom and I have more energy, however I need to work as I can't stay on benefits my whole life, so a part time job, however the pay is lower then anything, but one of the plus sides of not using the credit card is that I have become adept at living on less, my grocery budget is halved and I am only spending prolific funds and bits and pieces I earn at MDs. I have no major needs right now...however I will likely need a new car in the future and I haven't got enough money to save for this and I won't have with this job, lets hope, I get fitter and get more energy so I can take on a job like I use to!
Cash pot has been diminshed and stands at £15.73 which is 5%, I did add £6.48 from prolific, also I did have a £12.00 survey at one point but for technical reasons I couldn't get it working which is annoying!

Hi CB , love the sound of the tunics , sound nicely cool and colourful. You will soon make up the cost either with work or surveys . Part time would be great wouldn't it but cost of living is just so expensive especially when you run a car etc . It would be worth considering it though as you can still job hunt for full time on your days off . Good luck1

I was hoping with my new spending strategy I would be able to restrain myself from falling into bad ways and therefore be able to stick to this new low spending life, where I let the room out and work part time. I know full time is better for money, However I would still earn enough to do more then I have now. With the extra time I have I would hope that I can use it to have a better mental health so that I remain in control. Also you never know there might be the opportunity for full time down the line, as the company is expanding.
Today has been a blip I don't want a repeat tomorrow and I certainly don't want to start using credit card. When I was working full time I was out of control, I don't know why and it wasn't great. I hope to change that this time. Right for the rest of the afternoon, I need a list to work down....
1) Change bed linen and put wash on - Can't do this roomie is back early and will wait until tomorrow.
2) Hoover floors
3) Mop floors
4) Put washing up away
5) Make dinner and Wash up
6) Search jobs
7) R&R

I didn't finish the list partly because it is getting late and partly because the lodger is back early, I should have started earlier, but I have been tired, I spent all my money pot, I didn't get a job and I have felt a lot of tension today, like I am stressed out and I don't know why? I am worried about the job that I have applied for and I am fed up that it isn't a one interview shoot out, as it is for 18K after pro rata. I have eaten cod and chips and bought earrings as well as a bad brekkie. I am now not allowing myself to travel out to see MD except to get her groceries at the weekend. I feel fed up! and the heat is not helping!Mission Number One: Get a job!

Okay so a better end to the day. I have picked up a few surveys. Cash pot zero, however tomorrow there will at least be £15.45/ £13.87 pending. so I will have money again! I need to start ratcheting up the no spend days as we are running out of days in the month to get to 19/20! I am on 6/19, not good for this time of the month.
Wishing you a good eveningXXMission Number One: Get a job!

Okay I am back on sin street again! I have bought pastries again as I didn't want to make and eat the porridge, I guess I can't force myself to do anything unless I am locked up, Ha ha - I hope that doesn't happen! I have made the choice to buy Choco pops again, so tomorrow I am back to normal. I have ordered the same cereal for the next two weeks also, I am actually in the negative today - or I should say I have taken money out the petrol money so that I could have what I wanted. Cash pot is zero. Prolific is running up again it is on £10.11/£19.30 pending. I have felt a lot of tension today and it is driving me mad!
