See, now I was going to come back on and say I really don't like the app 🤣! It doesn't show pending transactions, so the balance doesn't update for a couple of days; ….
I thought that too, when I first started using it until I found the little bell at the top of the login screen which shows all recent activity. That seems to be pretty current.

See, now I was going to come back on and say I really don't like the app 🤣! It doesn't show pending transactions, so the balance doesn't update for a couple of days; plus every time you open it, it briefly flashes up your balance from the last time you logged in, then tells you you've been logged out. They have introduced the facility to make payments via the app recently though (rather than directing you to a web page where you could use a debit card), which is about the only positive thing I can say about it 🤣
I seem to recall I might have had one like this and got into a right pickle not being able to see transactions for a few days. I did think about the Tesco one!

Thunk I’ll look at the Tesco one. I do stash CC points to use in December to help with Xmas food costs.

I saw an offer on TCB to buy some dog food from tails with £25 cashback exclusive. The dog food had 75% off so cost me £3.90 totally. Be interesting to see if the £25 tracks!

Signed up for working with local council elections this May. Trying to think of as gov bits I can pick up. Also thinking exam invigilation  with local schools as that’s a decent amount around May / June.  Keeping an eye out at the local supermarket as well as really fancy picking shopping jobs. Early in the morning, no hassle, physically active and can just go home and forget about it until the next time!

Around here a lot of schools are currently recruiting for invigilators (we are interviewing 10 next week) - that way they are trained whilst doing internal exams before the summer public exams start. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for - I think 6 secondary schools locally are currently advertising! Not sure about other schools, but in ours there is usually a couple of days work in Sept, a day in Oct, 3 weeks in Nov-Dec, 2- 2.5 weeks in Feb, 2 weeks in March, all of April that we are in school and then all of May and most of June. Obviously, the pay isn't great - but it's OK for a top up of funds 😊

Gosh life has been very busy lately.  Still been MSE-ing but not much time to come in here.

Have to say I completely missed the car tax  increase but thankfully we have just enough in the car pot to cover that.

Been plugging away with surveys. Also reworked the budget to try and budget properly for everything and just have £100 a month for unforeseen day to day spends. Will also add any extra earnings i get to that such as surveys or cashback. I think it will really focus my spending decisions.

Cashed in £5 from ipsos and £6.73 from prolific. Been and done a top up shop and collected just over 200 nectar points. Try and use my nectar points to buy clothes as I like Sainsburys range.
