DH and I have started a jobs list which is working really well at getting stuff done. We have identified some big jobs that need working on and a list of little annoying let’s put them off as long as possible jobs. Every week we are having five tasks. It might be towards a big job or ticking off an annoying little job. Some are joint jobs and some are sole jobs but it’s working well and genuinely feels like we are making progress. So today my plan is to touch up an area of DDs bedroom that just got missed when we painted it. And then you live with it for so long you stop seeing it! Apart from that a day of pottering ahead. If it’s dry I will try to get into the garden for a while to do some tidying and get an uninterrupted hour with my audio book. I started one last night but it was scary and had chilling music on so was not the right one to listen to just before bed.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I am finding Sainsbury's "triple points for £x offers" to be quite annoying, they seem to go up the more you spend. After I got up to a truly ridiculous *£150*, I raided my next triple points voucher out of a checkout recycling bin, £0 minimum spend

I do find Sainsbury’s quite good at giving me relevant offers - extra points on items that I do actually buy. They miss a trick though that when they have those triple points offers that if you return the item you don’t lose the extra points just the base points for the returned item.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

House is back to normal and all decs away. We’ve also had a massive sort out and put a fair few things on fleabay and have made £178.80 so far so that has bumped up the money made by a decent amount. Also got £20.07 on everup so cash made in December is now £381.25!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Also I’ve started to think about 2026 money goals. The last two months have been a bit eye opening with free cash / non cash money earned. This used to just get used up as and when it was earned so for 2026 I’m going to stockpile the amounts as well as stack nectar points (already do this with club card points) and Amazon vouchers.Lots to around the house in 2026 and I’d love to be able to pay for some of this out of our ‘free money’. Also some unknowns on the horizon with possible car replacement/s so it’s tricky to say exactly where the money will need to go.2026 goalsGet emergency fund to £10k (currently £5358)
Stack Amazon vouchers, nectar and clubcard points
Aim to ‘earn’ £3000 in free cash from Nov 25-Dec 26 (currently £701.75)That’s all I really want to aim for as a minimum as lots of other savings automatically happens and we do want to do a lot to the house next year so I’d be happy to achieve thoseDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
