That’s a good point SC. I intend to open a new account soon purely with it being a dummy account to take advantages of switching bonuses. However M are telling me the account is now closed so I’ll wait and see if my credit report updates to show it’s closed!

Sains sent me a nice offer this week. Buy any Christmas crackers for 250 bonus points. So I did. And then promptly returned them to the customer service desk. £1.25 worth of points! Their system isn’t joined up when they offer bonus points like that if you then return items!

Got a great cashback deal this week, buying three baking bottles (cookies / brownies / blondies) from Mr T at £5.50 each. Greenginn had 100% cashback so submitted the claim and got those for free. Even cheekily returned one so made £5.50. The other two will go in the kids stockings.

My Christmas / birthday pot is now down to £16.41 and I’m determined that isn’t going into the red so I’m done!  This is the tricky time for me when you see so much out and about and it’s tempting to pick bits up. 

All the house DIY purchases are done except one set of blinds so that pot should also go into the new year in credit. Aiming for a month of very little DIY in December.
