Hello you
I know you're just running scared cos I'm going to beat you to the finish line...:p
Only kidding hun, I actually think it's a great idea. You WILL be debt free, that's a certainty now. It's just a case of how quickly. And if taking it a bit more slowly will give you the life you want, then I say go for it.
I'm sure I should be encouraging you to wait it out, clear the debt and THEN save up, but if I'd done that, I wouldn't have my beautiful little girl (or my beautiful and not-so-little boy for that matter).
Hope we get an invite to the housewarming though!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Ohh I hadnt even thought about the housewarming  :dance:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

There is nothing wrong with wanting to put everything off to get rid of the debt as quick as possible. I've done it for 30 months odd. It's just not right for me anymore.
I've gone through all the pro's and con's. And I can't deny that moneywise I'll be better off waiting. But I'm put my happiness first. F*** the rest of it.
Sounds like you've really thought about it and you're sure so best of luck.
If the debts are under control then sometimes it's nice to breathe a little (I think, I'll tell you when we get there :rotfl:)No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
SS I think you've made a good decision. Having your own place will be fantastic and paying off debt shouldn't mean that life has to go on hold.
£800 a month from MB though, are you serious?!!! I really need to get back in there if that's the case, I could be debt free in 2008 if I could make that much.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Thanks Snaggly.
I'm just worried I can't afford it now!
I know I'll be alright though. Just a bit of MB'ing will sort me out! :undecided :rotfl:0 -
A 'bit' of MB'ing????
You'll do it, I'm sure.
I had a bit of a panic then - read back my post and thought I'd said 'my not-so-beautiful son'!! Of course, he's every bit as gorgeous as his Mum (and THEN some, luckily....:o)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

I don't mind buying stuff. The difference with me now is I would have saved for it and found the best price!
I've started a list of things I'll need to buy. It's so sad that I've even got a garlic press on it!:rotfl:
